Dr. Foster is a good communicator. I took his online statistics class and any emails I sent he replied within an hour or so. Which I appreciated with it being an online class. Keep up with assignments online or you can fall behind. I did much better in the class than I excepted! I would recommend taking his class for sure.

Comment:

Dr. Foster was amazing right from the start and let me add into a full online class because of an individual situation. The online class was great! No book, just buy the online program, which has good examples for all problems and easy to use. Work was time consuming, but it's math, and it was very doable! Dr. F was very responsive to any emails!

This was online, so it was pretty straightforward. Nothing too terribly hard, and you can learn from the software that he uses for class. It's an easy A as long as you are willing to teach yourself.

Amazing teacher! He will walk you through step by step if needed. Very patient and has a love for the subject. I cannot say enough good things about him. His tests come straight from the hand outs.

Good professor, he gave the entire semesters work the first day and steps out of the way. Anytime I needed help he was there for a phone call, email or meeting.

I am taking the class right now Week 6 and so far very happy with the instruction method (constructivist, hands on) and the professor. Very likable person, and I am learning a lot.

Foster is definitely the best math instructor to teach this course. I would not recommend the other one(Wilkinson). Foster is not very interactive but will answer you questions. I took him for all three of my math classes and passed all three.

Took the online college algebra. Good teacher gives two attempts on test. So if you don't do good the first time you can see where you went wrong and try again.

Ehh, he was a good teacher and made sure everyone understood the problems before moving to the next, but I had a hard time in this class. maybe the tests didnt go well with the study guide as much as it should. sometimes we wouldnt even get a study guide.

I took this class because it is required for elementary education majors, and did not find it useful at all. We filled out worksheets and took tests instead of actually learning how to teach math. He often canceled class and did not show much interest in helping students understand how to teach the material. I don't recomend taking this class.

Very easy to understand and follow. Teaches the material well, but not to the extent that is required for some of the harder problems in the textbook. Good teacher all around. Attendance mandatory. Textbook mandatory.

I took the online algebra course. He is very helpful if you ask for help keep in mind you are not the only student he has and that he cannot be everywhere at once be patient. Also if you have a problem with algebra then you should reconsider doing the online course and stay in a regular class online is a lot tougher

Luke Foster is a really laid back professor. You work in groups on all the work and the tests are based off the work. Sit with smart people and you'll be fine. Just make sure you understand the homework to ace the test! People have said he's not helpful, but you just have to ask him and he's there.

I am taking the online college algebra course. The course is on Course Compass and looks canned. I have been to his office five times during his posted office hours, and I have NEVER found him there. There is a video he posted of himself, but I'm not really sure he actually exists.
