I'm quite confused why this professor has such good ratings. I just wish she would do her job which is to teach me chemistry, considering its a basic level chem class, and not expect me to know it already before hand. She gives a LOT of homework and you basically have to teach yourself because none of the notes you take in her lecture make sense.

Comment:

Dr. Tracey really knows how to teach. Her lectures are often a mix of lecturing and student practice. She has tutoring where she goes over anything you want to know and she really cares about you understanding and passing the class. She gives a lot of extra cred and her exams won't make you break a sweat if you study. Worth her weight in gold!

I had her for both lab and lecture. She was definitely a good teacher and knew how to explain things well. But, she is one of the hardest grading professors Ive ever had and she made the lab extremely difficult. Didnt once receive a grade higher than a C on a lab. Luckily i knew my lecture material.

If she was my AP Chem teacher, I'd probably skipped chemistry. She's amazing. She's sassy and realistic at the same time. She's very organized. I wish all the professor we have are like her. Although she doesn't put all the details in lectures, she has a handy sheet that you can go through and make sure you know everything in there. Take her!!!!

she is one of the best professor at aacc for chemistry, i wish she is teaching chem 112 this semester but she is not, very dissapointed, she is very fair. you need to work hard for this course to earn the grade you want, she is always willing to help, you just have a approach her. i love Dr. Tracey, She is the best.

She is hands down the best professor I've had for science. She is down to earth and answers all questions like a damn saint. She is very straightforward with what is expected of you. The class is a good amount of work. Use ALL of the supplemental things she gives you. Her website and her Q&A sheets are lit. Can't recommend her enough.

Awful. I am an honors student and got a 79. She marks off ridiculous amount on your lab reports with no explanation. I counted up my grade once and if she had marked everything wrong like she did it would have been a negative score. I get the feeling she has a few people she just doesn't like (mostly girls). Avoid if you can

i love Dr. Tracey, very professional. fair grader of you put effort in, Q&A are very helpful please do it is time consuming but you regret at the end if you dont do it. tests are very similar to homework, but she is very very tough in lab especially when it comes to grade lab reports. very helpful. if you work hard, you will get A. love Dr. tracey

Really good prof, but she moves fast, and doesn't provide a lot of examples in class. Course material is very clearly laid out, extra credit available (time consuming tho). Expect to put a lot of time in outside of lecture (well it's chemisty), but Prof. Tracey is a very fair grader if you put the effort in. Did not have this prof. for lab section.

At first I thought she was good but as the semester went on I realized nothing would be correct in her eyes. No matter what I would get stuff wrong. She can be very condescending to students and makes you feel dumb if you don't understand the material fully. Tests were god awful even to the point where some students didn't even finish.

Presents a tough subject clearly and concisely. No surprises on exams as long as you check the "Things to Know" sheet and STUDY. Genuinely invested in student's success. Not the friendliest person, but I wish all my teachers were this good. Incredibly efficient. Assignments returned on time. Professional. Very smart. Take Tracey.

Really organized and the material was clearly spoken. Homework was tough, but prepared you for the tests. I came from that class knowing a lot more than other students who took CHE 111 with another professor. Don't take her if you're lazy or looking for an easy A!

I've taken lots of chemistry classes and Tracey is still my favorite! She does make the exams and homeworks more in depth than some of the other professors, but the material is covered very thoroughly and well. She's a little tough, but extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Definitely one of the best teachers I have had. She explained the material clearly and went through it in an organized manner. She gives you a handout telling you exactly what you need to know for exams. She frequently asked if anybody had questions and graded everything fairly. If you get a good grade with Tracey, you'll know you earned it.

I always go to class with a positive attitude, but each time I went to this one, I left hating it more and more. She seemed like a cool teacher at first, but then she started being condescending to my partner and I. She would offer very little help, scold us, D's on labs we finished correctly with odd things wrong. Idk why but she didn't like us.
