Very hard grader, makes you work for your test scores. Homework assigned after every class. Was a more enjoyable professor after 2/3 of the class dropped.

Good professor. This is a hard course that requires a lot of work and studying, but Sherer doesnt make things unnecessarily difficult, so I recommend her.

Shes very kind and understanding. If you put the work in it pays off. However she makes a fair amount of mistakes, and when you are seeing complex organic mechanisms for the first time.. you aren't gonna spot them. A few times I was home studying and was confused because of these mistakes. But she is always willing to put time in for your success.

Not an easy class! If you are planning to transfer to the University of Maryland, College Park DON'T TAKE it at AACC. The lab portion does not transfer so don't waste your time! they will make you retake it!

She is OK for lab, not great. She can be slow to return graded labs and doesn't post grades to canvas, and since the lab is 25% of your CHE112 grade, it is frustrating to not know exactly where your grade is. I got around this by getting a grade book app on my phone.

I absolutely love Prof Sherer! She is sooooo helpful and so sweet and so caring. She's always there to help you when you need it. I also love how she teaches the subject. She really breaks things down. I 100% recommend taking her for chemistry lecture and lab.

she has so much homework's and her exams are so hard and long and ONLY gives 50 minutes! Each question is worth 16 points! it's show your work to get credit. Has extra credit but it doesn't help

Professor Sherer is the best professor I have ever had!!! She is helpful, consederate, explains well, I just happen to read slowly and fall behind on reading the book. By any means she is the best professor! I dont speak English as the first language, and she explains it so well. She did everything she could to make me feel better about myself.

Straightforward. Exams are like homework and lecture problems. It's not an easy subject but she's merciful. She gave extra credit. She drops your lowest quiz and the exams are set up so if there are 16 problems, she only grades 14 of them meaning you can skip two and still get a perfect score.

Prof Sherer is great, really explains the material well in class and is readily available to answer questions outside of class too. The exams can be tough, but they are very similar to the homework problems, so as long as you do the work you will be fine.

Avoid!! 3 dropped in the 1st week to a class of 11. Doesn't answer q's in class. Cornered in class gets combative. Nice lady but horrific teacher. 8 of 11 were struggling on a homework and asked for help, she chuckled and walked by offering nothing. Avg 1st test (2 high A's) was 73. 30 pt drop between test 1 and 2. She is the only outside tutor.

She is very knowledgable about the material but does not give students enough time to process the information. Throughout the semester I found myself just copying stuff off the board but not understanding it thoroughly. I emailed her several times throughout the semester and never got a response on any of them.

Awful. Took her online. Most unhelpful teacher I've ever had. Emailed multiple times with no response, or a poor response weeks later. Had gotten hospital bed ridden sick and was so rude about the possibility of turning in one late assignment. Seems to care more about her lecture kids. If you're doing it online, you're totally on your own.

Prof Sherer is great! OChem is really hard, but she explains everything very clearly and is very helpful. Anyone who doesn't do well in this class just isn't trying very hard and probably shouldn't be taking OChem!

I had her for lab and she was overall more helpful than previous lab instructors. She gave a helpful but unfortunately kind of slow lecture to get us started before every lab. She graded pretty fairly, not much to complain about beside for being boring and kinda old school.
