Comment:

Easy class. Had 0 coding experience but prof did a good job teaching students. Class was set at a fair pace for beginners. You use a zybook for the class & do hw from it; make sure to do it. You do labs every class, so show up to class. The labs and hw are easy. Tests are some multiple choice problems/coding prompts that are similar to the labs.

This woman has the audacity to teach a semester long intro CS class and only cover up to functions. Are you serious? She didn't even get to classes. In a semester long course! My friends at quarter system universities covered that stuff in week 2. If there wasn't a character limit, she would feel my full wrath, but alas, this will have to suffice.

Prof Roldan is a sweetheart and very laid back. Although we only touch on few topics in class, it is enough for you to understand the material to do your hwk. She gives XC frequently so dw about failing. You literally will not fail this class bc she structures it in a way where she wants students to succeed.

coding is going to be hard if you have no experience. some people learn faster than others but she really takes the class one step at a time. she doesn't mind answering questions and making sure you get the help you need. sometimes you have to clarify what youre asking because she hears wrong. uses online zybook, easy site and affordable.

Idk why she has such bad reviews, she is so sweet and really wants students to succeed. at first I read these reviews and freaked out based on what people said but had the complete opposite experience. She is approachable and very bubbly. she may not be the best but she tries.

Do yourself a favor by taking a coding class prior to hers. She can't teach but likes to pretend that she does. It's a beginner's class yet she expects people to become coders already. I'm lucky that I took a coding class before and I feel sorry for those who are coding for the first time. Seriously, find a professor who codes for a living.

If you don't get an A in her class, save other MIS professors time & Quit MIS! So much class time was wasted on retarded questions, I applaud her discipline. Her teaching style is not pushing you through because of your lack of studying. Study and do the practice applications and your guaranteed an A. Dr. Roldan deserved committed students.

Great professor and easy class. The tech presentation and report in the 2nd week are important. They worth a lot of points so make sure you don't just BS them. The midterm is about the 5 forces so make sure that you understand those. The final project is long so choose good people to be in your group else you will fail the class.

Class is not hard. She expects too much and when you go to her office hours she just snaps at you and assume you didn't do the work. She's not friendly at all and quite frankly a horrible teacher. I'm currently getting an A in 110A the advance version of 92 and in Roldan's class I'm getting a low C. MIS is a good major she's just a bad professor
