Marc Martin absolutely sucks. He is scattered and disorganized and barely even teaches. Don't bother doing the homework because half the time he forgets that he has assigned it. After the first two weeks we heard almost no new information. He uses class time to repeat himself over and over and tell unrelated personal stories.

Comment:

Professor Martin is very understanding and hilarious. The points system: attendance(200pts), two tests(50pts each), one paper(100), and one group presentation(100). He is a SUPER lenient grader! The tests are cake! He provides a THOROUGH study guide with page numbers on where to find the info. Just take his class you wont regret it!

Dr. Martin doesn't teach the class. He probably read through the textbook the first couple of weeks then for the rest of the semester we did nothing in his class. He doesn't lecture, he just talks about random stuff and tells stories. He doesn't explain assignments very well he kind of just says do whatever you want and grades it. I don't recommend

After first week, attendance sheet is passed around. Textbook for hw but he goes over readings in class. Read optional books for extra credit. One midterm, term paper, final, group presentation. Easy grader. Uses personal experience as examples, can be pretty tangental.

Marc is probably one of the most helpful Professors I've come across in a long time. Not to mention he's pretty darn cool too. He takes a very chill approach to things and is super motivational and very encouraging.

I just found out that Professor Martin in no longer teaching at SF State. What happened? He was one of the best instructors at this school. I recently took his Mediation GWAR class and it was by far the best class I have taken here. I told everyone I knew to take his classes but I am now hearing he is at USF. What a loss to this school!!!

Martin is one of those professors who HELPS you. Whether it be directly related to class or a random career goal you have, Martin ENJOYS helping his students. The reading is un-challenging, yet interesting. The homework was doable and promoted learning. If this was a noon class I would have been in heaven, but for a 8am it was still enjoyable

The best teacher I've ever had! It was an easy course and I actually learned more in this class than in any other I've taken in SFSU. He really cares about his students and is incredibly entertaining which is great for an 8am class.Great subject and great professor. There's no reason why you shouldn't take him.

I really enjoyed his class! I loved his style of teaching, and listening to his stories and lessons inspired me to pursue a higher education. He made an 8am class well worth going to, which can be hard for us college students haha.

At first I thought he was a bit too serious but later realized that he does have a sense of humor which makes taking an 8AM class quite bearable. I did not think I could learn as much as I did in this class. Dr. Martin's conflict resolution class makes you think about the ways you deal with conflict in your life. This course truly changed my life.

Needed this class to graduate. What a wonderful suprise! Even though it was an early class (8-10 AM) professor Martin made it interesting and enjoyable. It was the first early morning class I attended where I kept awake the entire time (and I'm not a morning person). I got a lot out of his class. I would recommend this class to anyone.
