Comment:

I loved her class and her teaching, she was one of the reasons I decided to be a scientist! If you really know the material, the tests are easy, however, it does take a lot of studying. Fascinating person and a great class!

Comment:

Amazing person, but may not be the best at teaching. Although she uploads her lecture files online, the exams include extra information more often than not so I suggest you attend all lectures. Lab is great; hands-on with no reports, and the handouts are totally doable within lab hours. She is approachable and is always willing to help people out!

Comment:

I was surprised at how little studying from the textbook helped me in the exams. The exams cover far more than the text and the lectures drag on about subjects that are hardly mentioned in the test. I would advise studying rigorously to do well in this class.

Comment:

Exams are super specific and extremely hard. Goes on random tangents. Somewhat helpful during office hours. Screechy voice. Lectures are boring. Powerpoints are disorganized. Tests more than the textbook. No anatomy here. Just pathways and molecular topics. Very very detailed. No HW but exams will kill you. Study very hard or don't take the class.

I really enjoyed her class a lot! Her lectures can be scattered sometimes, but are not usually. And her tests require studying, but they're not impossible to do well on.

Took animal physiology w/Prof Anderson. She's great. For all those people complaining---the class is not an easy A, suck it up. It's what you'd expect: a challenge, but completely doable if you study hard. She's not entirely clear all the time but she tries. She has unbelievable memory

She didn't teach badly, necessarily, but she taught the wrong class. What was supposed to be a 200 level physiology survey was basically an advanced neurophys class for pre-meds, which got on my nerves no little bit. Her tests are ridiculously random and specific, which can be great if you have the time and embrace the subject, torment if not.

Margie is something. I mean her course material is all over the place and so is her teaching. not that she's a bad teacher but I won't rate her as top notch. Her exams are CAN be easy if you have the time to go thru everything (txtbook, study guide, notes). I rarely had time to do so, so had a lil bit of a hard time, but really her class is easy.

This woman cannot teach at all, you are better off skipping class or sleeping in class. She barely teaches anything in class giving the impression that her exams will be easy, but in reality they are PhD level material. She was a visiting professor at our medical school and people went from thinking that she was sweet to cursing her to hell.

Lab is incredibly helpful for the course - take it if at all possible. No lab reports, just hand-ins. The grading is impossible to figure out - a check system that she refuses to translate into letters. Lab itself is interesting and fun: dissections, oscilloscopes, some live animals.

Cute prof who has a lot of fun with the material and students. Tests are hard but fair, and there are a lot of them so individual tests don't count too much. She's a bit scattered in lecture, so it helps to use the book and get together with friends to put the units together before tests.
