he is just in another world. this guy knows what he is doing but doesn't care too much about the students. he talks about other stuff and provides exams that have to do with other things

IF you have no intention on studying or reading notes then do not take this class! Attendence is taken every class and if you leave early you are chased out of the room to see as to why you are leaving! Material is hard so you have to want to take it. Do NOT take a a gen req. way to hard for that.

He's awesome. Class is always interesting, he's very funny, he won't help you individually (unless you come up to him after class) but that's because it's a huge class and there are TA's. Buy the textbook, the tests are just what's in the chapters, and ask questions if you're confused. It's not an easy A, but it's not hard and he's very likable.

As long as you do the assigned readings and take notes in class you'll do fine. There's no tricks on his exams, no writing. Just read what he tells you too.

Excellent professor. You have to do the readings and take notes in class otherwise you will not pass. His tests are difficult but as long as you study you will do fine. He is funny and keeps your interest. I would take this class over again I enjoyed that much. I definitely recommend him!

Great teacher. He's really funny and knows what he is talking about. Reading is a key, if you don't read you will NOT PASS. Also many of his fill in questions are based on his lectures so take good notes. Overall a great teacher but very hard tests! Study, study, study!!

Great professor.Very funny and tries to make class interesting. The tests are very hard but you will learn alot. Lots of reading but as long as you keep up and take good notes on lectures you will be fine. No essays and no homework besides reading. I would have him as my professor again if I could.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Unless you are a straight A student. Tests are too hard, too much reading,if you even show up 1 second late you can't take his exams. There are other pysc teachers utilize them.

This class felt like a 2 1/2 one because it was so boring. The only good thing was that there were no papers or other homework, which is good because you need to keep up with the reading to have any hope of doing good on the test. He didn't get that some of us were there for a GenEd requirement. . .

Sometimes I liked him, and other times I didn't at all. He had his favorites in the class so suck up and answer questions if you want to be on his good side. Tests are HARD. I took psych in HS and studied for every test and they were still difficult.

Very knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about. makes class interesting with lots of facts. tests are HARD, you must write EVERYTHING he says and you HAVE to read the material. no visual aids so he teaches the old school way. take if you want to major in psych if not pass him

He is a decent guy with a lot of intelligence in the subject area...but I think he's probably a better psychologist then a teacher. He didn't realize this information was brand new to most of us and made tests way too hard. I got a C and studied for everything. I would not take him again only because his grading sucks.

If you end up with him..run away. He is very arrogant and egotistical. Tests are almost impossible no matter how much you study. He can make some lectures interesting but I am completely uninterested in psychology after taking his class.

he is a nice guy, and very funny. his tests are VERY hard. you need to study like crazy to get even a C. I studied a week in advance for atleast 2 hours a day, and i got a D on the quiz. alot of reading and studying. i dont recommend him if you need individual attention with teachers because his TA's do all the work. this class is hard!!!!

He's nice and keeps it pretty interesting but it can get boring at times. Tests are definitely not easy and you really have to study for them and it helps to keep up with the readings he assigns. No papers.

Dr. Friedman is a really nice and fun professor, however there are four quizes plus a midterm and a final. All of the tests are difficult, if you want to do good you have to do all of the readings. Attendance is mandatory. Im a B student and ended up with a lousy grade, a C. Dont take him if you are looking for an easy A or B.
