Brings out the best out the worst. Very professional. I took his classes over twenty years ago, and they have stuck with me. If you want to work, he's great. I'd you want to slide through and be lazy, you'll hate the class. Brilliant instructor!

Comment:

I have to say I disagree with most of the comments, but maybe that's because I had him for social psych.He's a good lecturer, but sometimes gets sidetracked. Prepare to have your beliefs challenged. Open class discussions were interesting. I didn't think his tests were all that hard, I was able to earn an A in the class as a high school sophmore.

He was extremely difficult and very buyist. He is Anti American and Anti Business. He feels that the United States is to blame for everything. Be prepared to do extremely difficult test and research projects that must be done according to his viewpoint of being anti American. If you challenge his views you will be in trouble.

Ok, so if you have 20+ hours to study a week, he's a great professor. What he teaches you, you remember, however, he is very set in his own ways. Be prepared to be challenged emotionally in his classes!

Wow...this was the worst class I have ever taken. I tried so hard in that class, I took good notes, payed attention, studied hard, and did my homework yet I still failed this class. I wouldn't recomend any of his classes to anyone unless you are really smart and/or have a lot of time to study.

he is a scary,scary man. He gives out about 3 A's out of all of his classes in a semester. As a psych major I avoid him at all costs. If you have to have him, get on his good side or there is no possible way to get an A. Mention music. and try to prove him wrong in class. he'll like you then.

If anyone thinks that this guy is hard they haven't taken many hard classes. Dr. Gridley is helpful and caring, albeit a little scatterbrained at times. He is willing to meet with his students and presents the material as it appears in the book. If you can read, you can pass this class.

Dr. Gridley does not know what an intro level course is. He teaches PSY 101 as if you were a doctoral student. Avoid him at all costs. You can not challenge him or anything he says w/o avoiding his wrath. So much for an exchange of ideas.

He's not that bad folks. Just go to class, and pay attention. He made it clear when he was available for help, and he has gone out of his way to get materials to me and explain them when I couldn't attend an important lecture. I learned quite a bit.
