Ive taken all of Dr Mirabellos courses offered and have enjoyed them all. Its 100% lecture and note taking. He goes off on tangents, your grade is based on a midterm and final - both extended responses. If you can remember anything that he mentioned in a tangent, and insert it into your test it will boost your grade. 1 of my favorite profs.

Professor Mirabello declares he believes historians must make the dead come alive, not put the living to sleep. Mirabello does thatin spades. Best professor in the galaxy!

I don't even know where to start. He doesn't use PowerPoints, give handouts, or offer any supplementary material. You have to write down every single things he says, which is difficult because he doesn't slow down ever. Starts class early when only half of the students are there. Makes insensitive jokes, not caring, and just all around unhelpful.

A sociologist must acknowledge the effect of supernatural beliefs on social and cultural values. A look into the past provides insight into the present. Professor M's classes are entertaining, enlightening, and educational.

Grades are based only on Midterm and Final. I didnt do well on my Midterm but did on my Final and ended up with a B. His test is literally writing down everything you remember from his lectures on whatever topic you choose he has covered.

Passionate about what he was teaching. You could tell it interested him and he was very knowledgeable on the subject. Only 2 tests to take. There was never any homework. As long as you show up to the lectures and take good notes, you'll pass. Sometimes his lectures are hard to follow, so pay attention.

Mirabello is definitely one of the best at SSU. He is SO intelligent & even though the course is all lecture with only a midterm & final, it is still easy to pass if you go to class. Don't stress out about taking a ton of notes. Just listen to the lectures. They're so interesting that you'll learn a lot!

I absolutely loved his class, from the Romans to the Vikings, I was interested the entire semester. If you show up to class and take good notes, then the exams will be easy. The exams that are given are basically essay exams where you regurgitate every detail you can remember from your notes, the more you write, the better your grade.

He is very smart and has a funny, dry humor. I thoroughly enjoy his lectures and his his life experiences with his teaching. I would highly recommend taking his class. His midterm and final was not hard. Just go to class and you will do good. His book that he wrote goes along with his class. Teaches straight from the book.

Dr. Mirabello is probably the single most intelligent man I have ever met. He knows so much about history that I never would have imagined existed. Once you start listening to him talk, you won't be able to stop. Best professor I have ever had!

Super easy. Don't need to show to pass. Doesn't take attendance and you do zero assignments. Only midterm and final, which are super easy, but are both worth 50% of your grade. I would definitely take Mirabello again!

Dr. Mirabello is another professor I have had several times and his classes cover interesting material. I suggest a recorder especially if you can't write quickly. I would suggest any of his classes to people. Amazing professor and attendance is important.

It should be a requirement to take at least one of this guy's classes. Very informative and EXTREMELY random. You'll learn way more than what's on the class description. Incredibly fun.

This guy's fantastic. His classes are so informative (although attendance isn't required, you have to show up to learn). He doesn't teach history, he teaches life. He's like Buddha. With hair. And without the belly. Or a peaceful philosophy. Also, he's kind of a vampire, so he teaches from first hand experience. Because he was there.
