Took 300W. No tests, one 15 page paper. A few other short assignments that were automatic full points if you completed them. Very nice guy, always willing to help.

i took his 116 with him because it was required. i had to do pass/fail for this because the whole class is only 3 tests, so if you are not good at taking tests you will do bad. He knows his stuff for sure but his lectures are really boring. attendance is mandatory. i would prefer a little more work throughout the semester so i could've done better

Professor Ederer is a great professor. His class is all lecture, but he makes it very interesting. There are three exams and no homework. Textbook is really not needed. If you take good notes you won't need to purchase the textbook. It's an easy class.

Comment:
The class that I took with Dr. Ederer was a graduate level history course on the Middle Ages. His lectures were heavy and each week you had to summarize them into a 2-4 page graded assignment. Pretty easy stuff as long as you take notes or even just write down key points and later elaborated on them. Would recommend him to anyone.

Hands down my favorite teacher at Buff State. Had him for two classes, wish I could take more! He is extremely passionate and truly funny--it's not hard at all to want to go to class! As long as you pay attention and put effort into your essays and studying, it's not hard to get an A. He's always up to help out if you need it!

Dr Ederer is great, works you like a dog, but he expects nothing from you that he does not give. He is prepared and makes things interesting and will help anyone - in or out of the class. Take him for anything, you will learn a lot about history-and yourself.

Ederer is a very good professor with a huge amount of knowledge he is always looking to share with his students. His lectures are old school style using white boards and making you really listen to what he is saying. His class requires multiple textbooks but all of them are cheap and mostly easy to read. Humorous character. great teacher

doesn't use textbook. Gives a huge amount of notes. the papers are hard to condense down to 5 pages, as they have 20 pgs worth of information. He is a nice guy and if you study you'll do well. He seems to not know very much about Greece and Rome though. He's been wrong about several things and his Latin and Greek pronunciation is terrible.

His notes that he gives in class are hard to follow, reading the book does not help at all. He is very nice and approachable during office hours to go over class notes so you understand the meaning he wants you to get.

Too many notes, and he never uses the text book. Grades are set up as 25% for each test (Greek midterm and Roman final and 25% for each paper). He lectures on about to many unimportant things and covers things so fast you can't think about them. However if you study for the class you will do fine. Just study the important parts only!

Great professor. Very organized and good at lecturing. Course consisted of two 3-5 page papers, a midterm, and a final. Papers were a bit challenging due to the vast amount of information you must filter, but the tests are easy as long as one pays attention and keeps up with the reading. Not an easy A, but I'd definitely recommend this class.

A very good and talented professor. Told occasional jokes and really made class fun. Really knows what he's talking about. Took him for several classes before this, and enjoyed each one. Learned a lot. Exams were tough, but definitely fair, and if you study you'll do fine. Take good notes and focus on them. Dates NOT required. Overall very good.

Medieval History class, tons of information but all well prepared and in order. Very interesting as well as easy. Don't bother buying any of the text books as long as you take notes in class you don't need them. I highly recommend him for history majors.
