Professor Dobrea is such a warm soul and she truly loves what she does. She was able to make Eurhythmics one of my favorite classes and she always cares about each student truly understanding and grasping every concept we cover.

I love Dobrea!! She is one of my favorite professors ever. You can really learn so much from her she is super knowledgeable and she co-wrote the textbook. I have really bad anxiety and she was super understanding. She really cares and reaches out personally and helps push you to do your best! I also took the Creativity FYE with her would recommend.

Dr. Dobrea gives her students way too many simulataneous assignments. The lectures are kind of interesting, but I still don't believe that there is a right and wrong way to think creatively. I believe that everyone thinks creatively in their own way, and if you tell them that they are doing it wrong then it creates self-doubt.

I absolutely love Professor Dobrea. She's such a sweet lady, and really works to make sure everyone is comfortable in classes, and even enjoying themselves. I love Eurythmics class because of her. I had my appraisal today, and even then it was like a guided conversation. No pressure. Absolutely wonderful.

Dobrea is really a great teacher and knows how to motivate and teach students. If you work hard you will have no problems in this class, no matter how good you are when you start. She's great at giving tips to people who need it and challenging more advanced students. Also insistent on getting personal input from everyone, so don't expect to hide.

Many find this class pointless, but those people don't understand the importance of feeling connected to the music. The class is intended to relax the musician and allow aesthetic music making possible. I enjoyed the class, despite how silly it sometimes seemed. Required for a reason :)

Professor Grindahl is one of a kind =) If you show appreciation for her class, she will return the mindset. You don't have to love her class-but you do have to try, and those who don't reap the consequences. She is an emotionally-based musician and is therefore moody, but admits to it. I did like her, and as an advisor she was absolutely AMAZING!!

I also had Dobrea for Eurythmics as every music major is required. She is simply the sort of teacher who ACTUALLY judges your character based on class attendance and punctuality. She's very nice if you show her enthusiasm and respect, and she's SO INTELLIGENT and educated in her field. Make the best of her mood swings, and you will learn plenty.

Woahhhh woah woah. Her classes are perfectly useful to anyone at the conservatory considering every single last one of us is required to take solfege...and I've never witnessed any of these horrendous comments (she is allowed to voice her opinion on certain issues...lighten up, people!) I totally respect and admire her talent! The end.
