Mary is an awesome professor. I was very lucky to have her as a professor. I took public speaking, french, and communication classes. She is very passionate about teaching. Her assignments are clear and is always available to help students. Come prepared coz she will put you on the spot. She likes to have her students engage in discussion.

I loved having Madame Hoeft for French 205. I learned more in that class than I have learned in any other course I have taken throughout my entire high school career. She is a teacher that focuses on many aspects of the language, and she incorporated literature into the course as well. She is not the typical instructor. She is extremely passionate.

Mary Hoeft was the best teacher I ever had. I took her as a high school student through Youth Options and at first I was terrified of her because she was a "college professor " but she turned out to be so easy going. I wish I was attending UWBC for the next four years just for her, but I ended up going to same college she did!!

Mary was one of the best teachers I encountered in my time at UWBC. Towards the end she got harder on me, but that was just because she wanted me to reach my potential.. I learned a lot from her. Participation is key with her classes. Show up, pay attention, and participate and you shouldn't have a problem passing her.

She isn't very clear on instructions sometimes, but she is always willing to help you if you ask. Because this is a Public Speaking class you give several speeches. As long as you have the right structure you will at least get a C.

Personally, I think she believes she's God's gift to teaching. She's well educated (she'll be sure to tell you)but extremely helpful. Truly wants to see her students succeed. Expects a fair amount of work from you, but I found her classes completely manageable. Not a bad semester.

Mary Hoeft is, without a doubt, one of the BEST professors; she will stop at nothing to help a student, and she works very hard at making sure that her students are succeeding not just academically, but personally, too. In a dark world, Mary Hoeft is a shining light.

A good teacher with a great sense of humor. She is always willing to help outside of class. But I sort of wish she would assign graded assignments, we would spend a lot less time waiting for people to figure out how to say "I eat" in class. Always look forward to her class.

Took her as a tues/thurs class, 1 hr. 15 min. class, Very long and boring. She never finishes her statements. Wants the class to fill in the blank of her sentences and questions. a lot of people dropped and the rest hardly showed up for class. Easy to give speeches but one of the most boring and uninteresting classes i've taken

I know her from asking her a million questions about the campus, how to speak a few words in French, and one time for advice on a gift for a girlfriend. I never had her for class, and if I was still at UWBC I'd take one just to say I had a class with Mary Hoeft. Easily the most awesomest teacher on campus!

Great teacher, very helpful. Easy class. She is a little oppinionated sometimes, but not too bad. If you go to class regularly (or even if you don't sometimes and have a decent excuse), you'll be fine. Cares a lot about her students. Good prof.
