she does not life us asking questions, which pisses me off, most of the class hates her guts, other professors i have had tell us the stupid question is the one you don't ask, she acts like there is something wrong you students asking more than a couple of questions

She's okay. She's clear and does well at preparing you for the tests. She also grades very generously, but she'd be better off teaching 6th graders with the way she talks to students. I don't recommend asking her questions....

Koehler is awesome. Super clear. Just do your homework and read text. Seriously, enjoy the fact that she tells you exactly what's on the tests because in under grad and grad school, that rarely happens. Enjoy it!

Easy teacher, very helpful. Gives a lot of time for homework. Never used the textbook in class but she uses it for some problems. Everyone saying she talks to you like your stupid, she doesn't. that's just how she naturally talks. Show up to class and do your work and she'll have no problem with you.

College Alg + Trig. She wants you to know your stuff (basic algebra, arithmetic, etc.) so don't ask her questions on the basics. Will help you on course subject though. Very straightforward: lectures, homework, tests -- no BS. Attend, take notes, do the work and you should be fine on the tests. Get all A's on tests and you can skip final.

She is very clear in her teachings, and she stops in between her teachings to make sure everyone understands.She doesn't give homework ,but she trust you to do it in order for you to pass your test. I took her for to semesters and I highly recommended her .

hard class. constantly telling the class that if you don't understand then you shouldn't be taking it. doesn't explain concepts very well and doesn't really go back over things. tests always include a story problem she went over in class though

She made students feel like their dumb. She also blammed us for being behind in class. She would only allow 2 questions on homework per. Class. She was all over the place with class notes. I used the book 2 study...not her notes.Though she allows multi. Attempts on quizes & partial credit on tests. She remind me of my grandma.

Im glutton for punishment, also had her for MATH 1521.. Never used Text Book in class , I had to study on my own from the Text.. Her class is all on an old over head projector ( very bad )

Comment:

One thing that really helped me was that she gives out a study sheet before each test with certain problems to do. The tests are 90% homework problems, so definitely keep up with the work and you'll be fine. Also, she does give a LOT of partial credit, so even if you get the problem wrong she may give you full credit for it. She was rude sometimes.

I've always been pretty good in math. She wouldn't explain any of the work. Finally had to drop it just so I wouldn't have it on my record. At least 4 people dropped the class already. She refused to help with problems and actually told me no when I asked her to go over the problem. Worst teacher I have ever had.

Very fast paced. Do not miss one day. If you do the homework, you might be okay. Teaches only by giving examples on the overhead and not explaining why. Trys to humiliate students half my class dropped already

I know that this teacher saw other individuals cheating off of each other, but completely ignored it while she proclaimed the importance of academic honesty. This is honestly the only teacher that I have ever had issue with in the 2 years that I have been in school. Very disrespectful to her students.

Horrible teacher. I approached her after class to ask her a question, she would not look at me or acknowledge I was there, then she packed her stuff and walked away! Math was never my strong area but I really did try in her class, but ended up getting help from a different math teacher! That's sad.

She is horrible. I used to love math, but she is unenthusiastic, refuses to answer questions, gives 0 partial credit. MY biggiest issue was that she wouldn't answer questions, if you asked one, she either didn't understand it or responded to you like you were stupid. Probably one of the worst english speaking teachers at Tri-C.

She is extremely condescending and if someone asks a question or wants clarification on something, she speaks to them like they're an incredibly stupid child. She repeatedly tells the class that "you should have learned this in math 1200" instead of just thoroughly explaining the problems. She is a fairly easy grader though.

Very hard to stay awake. As long as I was in class watching her, I understood what was happening. Due to work, it was usually a few days before I could do homework and then I was completely lost. She was helpful if I saw her after class but I have to agree with other comments. Felt like I was in junior high again. Eight people dropped this class.
