Comment:

I started a BA ENGL and took 3 years off ENGL courses after her. She's unhelpful and chided me for doing things the textbook recommended but couldn't articulate what she wanted. She ignores the marking scheme and gave a B for a paper she deemed exceptional 'cause she doesn't give higher grades. Kiss your 4.0 goodbye with her. She made me hate ENGL.

After this tutor, I changed my major away from English! I don't think she marks her own exams, as I got an 87.2 % after dismal essay results.

Comment:

I had her for a lower level ENGL class she was patronizing, rude, unhelpful and liked to call late at night just to tell you how useless you were. Took forever to grade anything and I learnt nothing from her. She should never be a teacher for anyone ever again.

I had Robin for ENGL 212 and 211 at the same time. She takes forever to mark assignments, is not helpful when you have questions, and seems to grade based on her own opinions rather than on the quality of the work.

She is a miserably amateur petty despot who considers assignments to be power struggle. Her scrawled notes are vitually illegible and many of them are subjective nonsense. She is not fit to teach and needs a nap. She loves reminding you that you are nothing among her 200+ students.

Writes long detailed comments, however, found some comments to be borderline offensive and patronizing instead of helpful. Suggest that she research the meaning of objectivity and provide more constructive criticism. Comments can at times come across as opinionated rants with no real purpose other than to add insult to injury.

Nice woman, helpful and patient, but just awful at articulating what she wants from you. Marks you down for doing things that the textbook specifically asks for. Confusing. Some helpful comments on essays.
