Comment:

Dr. Zeigler is incredibly nice and very willing to work with you. She's great inside the classroom. However, outside is a different matter. She seems to be doing too many things, and some of it slips through the cracks. She didn't always communicate her expectations well. The class felt disorganized, but I think she's an intelligent woman.

Am currently enrolled in her course. I would highly advise against taking her. She is VERY intelligent, it is evident. But I have had no idea what the objective of the course is for the entire semester. SHE IS VERY UNCLEAR. I plan on filing a complaint on her. Nothing personal, just I pay a lot for each course I take. This one wasn't worth it.

This class was great - Dr. Ziegler explained everything very well and was always incredibly friendly. The Friday night snack parties were particularly appreciated (this was a Maymester class). I was dreading a class on grammar but loved this one!

Yo! This professor is by far the worst I had in my entire collegiate career (and I'm a junior)! She was very disorganized and very rude when asked for clarity. Unnecessarily sarcastic. She had sooo many conferences yet she took a month to grade and return papers. Her priorities are skewed. The class was ultra boring and she explained thngs in a way only she understood. It's not that she didn't know the content, she was just horrible in delivering it so you could understand. Nonetheless I got a B

Dr. Zeigler's class is disorganzied and unclear. I was excited about this class going in but now I am VERY disappointed. I never know what I am susposed to do, even though she provides a syllabus. She will interject new tasks as a project is going on, her tests are cumulative and there is little class discussion. Take her at your own risk...

You must take her classes! She is fair with grading and never allows you to leave her class without understanding important concepts. She does expect her graduate students to participate in self-directed learning, which is a phenomenal way to maintain your personal learning about a subject.

Dr. Zeigler is a fair and nurturing professor. She is extremely knowledgeable and proficient in lecture. You will write a lot, but that is the nature of graduate school.

Do everything you can not to take her class. She makes up assigments as she goes, leaving you 2 days to complete a research paper, for instance. She does not explain anything, and when you ask questions she tells you to look in the book and doesn't answer. Her study guides are from mars and her tests are from a different universe.

Dr. Z is awful. She is a nice person, but she must have lost her skills in the Fall of 07. She was not clear, rude, impatient, did not want to elaborate, or back up an reteach something. My entire class was upset. DO NOT TAKE HER

TAKE ZEIGLER!! She is extremely smart and pro-active in the Afr. Amer. Community. She travels around the world to give conferences on Linguistics. If you do the work and study which can get confusing, you will be very satisfied w/ your grade. She also very friendly and likes to involve every student in class discussions.

She is an excellent teacher! The material is difficult at times but she is patient and will not move on until you know the material. You will definitely LEARN things in her class! Highly recommended!!!!!
