Comment:
Dont buy the textbook for this class it is not necessary. I dont understand her teaching style, its like she tries to connect w students purely thru eye contact, the material presentation is so scattered & rushed. Papers are poorly explained. Boring material. The one positive is that its an easy class. Take it at 8am and it becomes strenuous.

Although Dr. Citera is kind, I could not get behind her teaching method. For content that is (in my personal opinion) dull, I had trouble focusing in every single class I attended. I also disliked that she does not allow for make-up exams. Additionally, you get a point deducted for every absence out of 25 points.

She literally put me to sleep every single day. Most boring lectures Ive ever sat through. She is pretty nice as a person but as a professor shes a nightmare. Tests are pretty difficult and not clear at all. Slices are confusing and not clear at all. Wouldnt recommend taking any of her classes.

There were three tests (drop lowest grade), two projects (she does not provide clear instructions, so kind of difficult) and some in class activities which you get credit by being there. There is so much information crammed into each test that it becomes stressful to study for. Lectures are pretty dry if you are not interested in the material.

Overall, I enjoyed this class but I feel Dr. Citera is a little boring. Her lectures are pretty tedious and it's hard to stay interested as there's little opportunity to really participate since its basically just her reading the slides. I hate when professors treat us like we're in high school and ask us to write our group answers on the board.

Show up and do the readings for seminar. Say a couple of really good comments and she will like you. Stopped doing the readings after the midterm and it was a huge time saver! "Does that make sense?" is what she always asks it's annoying. She clearly favored a guy in our seminar class and he made a lot of weird comments, but she's odd too.

She's a good teacher that really cares about her students. She is always available during office hours, and as long as you are making an effort, she will be more than willing to help you with anything you need. Her lectures are clear and interesting, and studying for her tests is as straight forward as reviewing your notes and doing the reading.

Very boring class, but quite easy. Study the power points and go to the lectures and youll be good. Use the book if you need to clarify something. Relates everything to her kids and family life, but she is a very nice and accomidating teacher.

Dr. Citera is definitely a nice lady. However, I don't think teaching is one of her strengths. She basically regurgitates the textbook at you in the from of power-points that are not very clear or interesting. For this class she gave 3 test and an easy paper. She also gave opportunity for extra credit which was nice.

Definately one of the most boring classes i've been in since i've enrolled in New Paltz. That isnt to say that Dr. Citera isnt a nice woman and the class is hard. 3 easy tests, a journal entry once a week, and an easy paper.

I really like Professor Citera. She gets a bad rap, I know, but she really gives students the tools they need to succeed and learn in the class. I read the chapter before class, and her Power Points reinforce the chapter and really drill it into your head, and then if you print them out and really study, you'll get above a 95. She does a good job.

Probably one of the most boring classes i've taken. You'll struggle to stay awake while she drones on about the powerpoint slides and her kids. No assigned HW just 3 tests and a final. The finals seem obvious but the answers don't match what she taught. Don't take it in the morning unless you're insane or like torturing yourself.

She's nice but she is a terrible teacher. She doesn't know what she is talking about half the time, she just reads off her her powerpoints. She goes off on tangents that are irrelevant even though we are way behind on schedule. She is always late and then holds the class late to make up for it. I would not take her class.

She's a really nice teacher and she means well, but her classes are incredibly boring. She rarely deviates from her power point slides - and I will be honest with you, it was extremely hard paying attention in the class, it was the longest 1 hour twenty minutes ever.

She talks about her kids there entire time. I was sent home by the health center in the beginnning of the semester and she was the only teacher who didn't let me make up my work and my grade suffered because of it. She is the most uninteresting and rediculously cold professor I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE INTRO PSYCHOLOGY WITH HER.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Soo boring and such a ditz. I cannot believe she is still teaching. I hated attending her class and I'm usually a very intense student. Don't take her because she doesn't even know what shes talking about.
