I took Japanese 102 at URI with Hoye sensei and it was my favorite class by far. She cares so much about her students and encourages everyone no matter what. extremely helpful, clear and makes this hard language fun to learn. gives a lot of extra credit and its super kind and friendly all the time. She makes you want to try your best.

She is one of the best teachers I had at university of Rhode Island. She really cares about her students. If you showed up to class everyday, you get 25 points out of 100 towards your final. Takes a but of studying but it's worth it for an A

Not sure if she's still there, she told me she was going to Colorado, but if she is teaching at UNT, she is one of the best teachers you could ever have. She is truly great.

I agree! Hoye-sensei is great! She tells many funny stories and she's a very effective teacher. Everyone loves her! Her class is not difficult at all, but you will learn Japanese well. If you are not sure which foreign language to take at UNT, take Japanese with Hoye-sensei!!!! You won't regret it!!

Hoye-sensei is the greatest teacher I have ever had. She is amazingly kind and understanding. She was born and raised in Japan so she has so many stories. Everyone who has taken the class has loved her. Anyone who doesn't succeed just doesn't try hard.
