Rented the book but didn't use it. Lectures are HEAVY and he tends to be late. His lectures have minimal examples and he's condescending with a corny sense of humor, borderline inappropriate. Lecture info consist of TOO many graphs, the material is extremely different from exams. No homework and no classwork - grade based on exams only.

I took him for ECON100 and Suzuki as a professor himself, he is funny and very informative on the topics we talked about on every class meeting. His grading criteria is curved and is on a point system. 3 midterms (1 midterm will be dropped with the lowest score) and 1 final exam.

Loved this class! Pretty easy, just don't skip class and make sure to take good notes. He's also really good about letting you take tests late, no extra credit though so be prepared! There is no homework only 4 midterms and final but he tells you all the material that is going to be on the test and allows a page of notes! Very nice guy, funny too!

Professor Suzuki cracks a lot of jokes in class. He's a very good lecturer for a topic like Economics. Class is based solely on tests and if you're confused, he's always accessible at office hours. Allows cheat sheets for tests, but still need to understand the material to fully get an A

Easily one of the best professors Ive ever had. Hes very knowledgeable about his crafts. Hes gives out great reviews before the tests to study from. Hes very funny and great to talk to outside of class. Ive made him laugh a few times. Pay attention in class and take great notes. Ask questions and hell answer them thoroughly. Dont miss class!

I got a B and I never used the book, I just payed close attention during class lectures and took good notes during his mid-term review days. He gives no homework, just tests so make sure to fill up your double-sided 1 sheet of notes with as much information as you can and you should be fine!

Suzuki is great teacher, he's hilarious and really knows his stuff. Attendance isn't mandatory, but like all classes, you have to be there in order to learn. Overall, he is a great teacher, and he is always there for you when you have questions. For the tests, he let's you use a page of notes, which is great. You really learn in his class.

Professor Suzuki is a very nice instructor who can teach the lectures well. He never gives extra credit during class, but instead, he curves the grading scale which is 85% of your grade is an A. He drops a lowest test score and final is mandatory to take it in class because if you don't take the final, your grade will be going down low as possible.

He is well organized when he lectures on the topic we are covering for class. In the syllabus, it has information of what the schedule will be like for the semester, such as midterms and finals. When theres an exam coming up, dont rely on the textbook, just rely on his lectures instead and youll do good in the exams.

no hw, all exam material on lectures/no book. take good notes. 5 exams, lowest score dropped, excluding final. focus on the multiple choice, since it's very heavy on exams (22 questions worth 10 pts each) while entire short answer portion is only 3 questions worth 30 points, with partial credit given. great for visual-auditory learners.

Professor Suzuki has heavy yet informative lectures. If you take decent notes in class, you'll be sure to pass his midterms. The course is solely test based, so make sure you do the reviews because they're super helpful and make sure you utilize your ability to bring in a full page of notes (front and back). Loved this class.

Suzuki has a very loose grading scale (85-100 is an A, 75-84 is a B, 65-74 is a C, 50-64 is a D, I believe). HOWEVER, his exams are tougher than they seem, even though you are allowed a cheat sheet to use during 5 exams, they are tricky sometimes, theyre all about 250 points, multiple choice will make or break your grade, 10 pts each, with 22 of em

The class is based off of 3 midterms and the final. His exams are based off the lectures so it is very important to go to class. Take good notes, make a study sheet and study that and you should be fine. Does not give homework too.

He goes kind of fast during lecture, but if you can keep up, you'll do great. You skip class and still pass. I only showed up for the midterm review, (4 of them) and the final review and got a high B.

Took Suzuki for Econ 100 and Econ 102 and it was the exact same thing which is good because you know what is coming. Dont buy the book you won't need it for Econ 100 but for 102 you will need it slightly (borrow a friends. No Homework everything is notes so understand and write everything down. Clear grading - ask questions for clarification.

5 Exams, drops lowest one, it can't be the final exam. Exam grades your final grade. 1 page of notes, front & back for the exams. Take good notes in class & understand what you're writting. FORGET BUYING THE BOOK. You'll probably get a clearer understanding by googling the concepts. Ask and he'll help you. If you don't show.. Good luck! LOL

Fall '14. took him for econ 102 as well. he lays out how to pass the class clearly on the syllabus. no hw, which can be a good thing as the subject is dry. 5 exams, but drops the one with lowest score. textbook didn't help at all, so you'd be wise to rely on notes for studying for exams. want a B or A? understand and memorize what you write.

He is super friendly, and has great energy. He's definitely more than willing to help. HOWEVER unless you know econ you will NOT get an A or B...his tests are very hard, because, his class only is lectures, no practice problems to practice the graphing and mathematical parts to the test and no additional resources to study from.
