Great personality. Really made lectures fun and interesting. I'm not a math person but I felt I learned a lot. Allowed group quizzes, which helps to collaborate. If you're in a good group. Gave clear expectation on what would be on exams. Lots of homework, great for practice. But hard to follow in textbook because he teaches different during lectur

Comment:

Dr. TenHuisen is a wonderful professor. He's always lively and cheerful and does his best to make the subject matter vibrant and interesting. He works through example problems and makes sure that everyone understands the concepts. My only criticism would be that he doesn't do much work with proofs, which I think is important for higher-level maths.

He is truly hilarious. It made the class lite. I wasn't a fan of just homework in the book because how he teaches isn't the same as book. I advise of good notes. Do the homework for practice, though not graded. He set expectations of exams. Which helped me prepare. Quizzes everyday but done in groups. I'm not a math person and did well.

He's an overall great teacher. Your grade is based off 10 quizzes (pretty easy if you've done the hw), 3 tests and a final, and attendance. He grades hard on the tests, nails you on dumb mistakes, formatting, etc. This can be good if you struggle, and bad if you don't... careless mistakes go from A to B real quick. No HW turn in, but do it anyway.

Dr. T is absolutely phenomenal! I really enjoyed this class not only due to the extreme applicability of the subject material, but because Dr. T really made the class enjoyable and encouraged students to think on their toes about the material in class rather than just feeding it to you out of a book or lecture. A must take!

Very good professor. The class is tough but he makes it as easy as possible. He assigns homework and it can be a challenge, but they are usually represented on the test, so make sure you do it. I would take him, especially i you are a hard worker because he will love you. Very funny!!

Dr. TenHuisen takes a boring class and makes it interesting. If you're a math major then you can't avoid taking MAT 275, so take it with a great professor like Dr. T. The material is easy enough if you pay attention in class, and the little homework that gets assigned is incredibly easy. TenHuisen is also a very nice and funny guy.

I love math...just not this class. The course was very challenging for me. As long as you study like crazy and ask a lot of questions you can make it though. The teacher is helpful with curves and is always willing to help if he has time. I would not take the class unless you need it though.

I hate the class content, if you don't need to don't take it. As far as the teacher, he is entertaining, funny, easy to pay attention to, and helpful. The homework and tests are on the hard side, but if you get help and study you should be fine. Amazing guy, but also not very lenient with curves or bonus points. I suggest him.

OMG. I have been talking about this man all semester. He is the head of the math dept. He is the hottest, most fabulous thing since sliced jalepenos. I had not taken Calc at all in high school and am doing really well in his class (I hang on to his every word). I have him 5 days a week and I look foward to each class b/c he's so nice to look at.

Dr. T is a wonderful teacher. He takes something difficult and turns it into something interesting. He is a really funny guy and cracks jokes at everything. You will definitely learn alot from Dr. T as long as you attend class...since attendance is not mandatory. He really knows how to make a math class interesting and fun!

Ok, For those of you that are horrible at math this is the teacher to take. He is very helpful, entertaining and fun. If you hate math take this course he will make sure you understand it and is never bothered by questions even if you ask him the same one twice. Best professor ive ever had.

Doesn't teach his own class. Has a teachers assistant to do it. However, the class is pretty simple. It's lenient in its rules and ends early. You have a quiz every Friday, 10 questions. Also, a midterm and a final, all on the computer. It's a fairly easy class and the information is helpful for preparing for 111.

great teacher, very helpful. the class isn't hard. do all the online homework and quizzes. and talk to him if you're concerned about your grade. he's very easy to talk to. he makes the class more fun esp. since he's so funny himself :)
