Comment:

Quirky, but nice. Attendance is part of your grade. Study his notes and the tests are easy, other than the final. The final had some obscure questions on it. Richardson was 2nd counselor on the General Sunday School Board so he knows the Apostles and Prophet very well. Had lots of fun stories. Put in the time and you will do well. Great teacher!

Brother Richardson is the best TEACHER on campus. No one else is even close. I say teacher, because he teaches. If you come ready to learn, you will learn more than you could have imagined. He meets with the Apostles on a weekly basis. Trustworthy and very very very doctrinaly accurate and sound.

Professor Richardson is in a class of his own. First religion class I have taken on campus where he was able to balance achieving a fair grade but also inspiring and enlightening us spiritually. Easy class. But very inspiring class at the same time.

Excellent professor! The way in which he constructed his course encouraged me to learn for myself. Assignments consist of readings (for which you only report if you did it or not) and short, copy-and-paste papers. Tests are reasonable and predictable, no trickery. Take the course, come to class, do the assignments according to rubrics and get an A.

I took his marriage and family class and felt like I learned a lot. You should attend class, as a lot of what is in the lectures is in the tests. You have readings each class period and just have to mark if you read them. There is an assignment where you have to grow a plant, which just keep trying or talk to him if you are having a hard time.

Brother Richardson is so entertaining. I always look forward to his class. He is so funny yet he can easily be very spiritual. He works with the First Presidency and the 12 Apostles so he ca give great insight about what these men truly are like. I am going to miss this class and I am so glad I have been able to take it!!!

Brother Richardson is the best teacher I have had at BYU. He answers all questions, and makes class fun and interesting. He knows all of the apostles too, so there is no one better to take living prophets from! Do whatever you can to get into his class

Take any religion class from Richardson because he is an absolute hoot! Only problem is you have to attend almost all lectures or he lowers your grade significantly. Besides that, he's enjoyable and hilarious and knows his material. Go to class and you'll get an A easily; all his assignments, notes, and tests are on Blackboard. Great guy.

Brother Richardson is one of my favorite professors I've had at BYU. If you are going to take Living Prophets, take it from someone who sees them on a weekly basis! He has so many personal stories with the Apostles, it's awesome! He's also super entertaining and his tests are exactly the same as the pre-test. Take Living Prophets with him!

I took this class just for the extra credits and an easy A, and it turned out to be my favorite class of the semester. He is an incredible teacher and I learned so much about the gospel from him. Also, he is in the general sunday school presidency for the church so he has a ton of personal experience and he knows his stuff.

The Living Prophets with Brother Richardson was OUTSTANDING! Honestly, it was one of the best classes I have ever had. Brother Richardson is funny and very sincere about what he teaches. It's just a good time. Also, he is in the General Sunday School Presidency, so he has personal stories and experiences with all of the apostles. Life changing!

This marriage prep class was amazing. He is very friendly, very funny, very upbeat, and always does his best to make sure students' concerns are answered. You get out what you put in (law of the harvest), and he makes it very easy to learn a ton of great things. Take a class from him!

Outstanding teaching and insights. Requires reading checked with online quizzes (based on completion only) and growing a plant. Clear and precise teaching makes getting the A very doable. Tests are online and open book. Best religion class I have taken thus far (even better than Bott).

Amazing, AMAZING professor. I have such an amazing insight to how marriage and family is supposed to function. If you take Rel C 234, take it from him. He is funny and really cares about his students and wants the best for all of us. Listen to what he says and you will really be blessed. Best professor yet.

Comment:

Great teacher. He talks really fast, but he's compensated for this perfectly with power points and fill-in-the-blank notes packets, so you can catch everything he says instead of freaking out about notes. Tests are easy, but I learned a lot fro studying and taking them. I'd love to take him again.
