Professor Isaac Abenchuchan is not an easy teacher,and he is not a hard teacher either. He gives alot of homework but it's not difficult work and he gives you a schedule when they are due. They are not due all at once. So just do the homework, study and put in your lab hours and you should do fine. Also be on time and don't skip. You'll do fine.

Professor Abenchuchan is a wonderful teacher whether you are interested in becoming an Interpreter or you are casually taking this course. Although learning a new language and culture is challenging, Professor Abenchuchan's helpfulness, patience and humor make the class very enjoyable. If you put in the effort, you will do well in this course.

Amazing person and great teacher. You must take this class, he really cares about your success. It does demand a lot of time and work but it is worth it in the end! It is definitely a very interactive environment but it is so much fun!

Great teacher and person. If you are not a performer, get ready all eyes are on you a lot in this class. He is very funny and really cares about his students. Don't think you can just get by in this class, trust me he knows if you studied. If you are taking ASL you MUST take him or you will miss a great experience.

Isaac is the best teacher I have ever had in my life. He made me not only fall in love with ASL even more than I already was he made me look forward to going to class even at 9am! He goes out of his way to make sure you understand what is going on in class and helps you get involved in the Deaf Community. I loved this calss and this teacher!!!!!

ive had the most fun in this class!! Isaac is a great teacher. I tool ASL1 with him after taking 2 years in high school and i still learned more that i thought i could. Ive changed my minor to Deaf Interpretation because of Isaac and this class.

ASL 1: Issac was a wonderful teacher; if you have questions just ask. he i very helpful and interested in why you are failing or succeeding. You have to want to learn. and practice practice practice! ha. He is also laid back and funny. Helps you get involved in deaf community. But he can't do all the work, you got to put forth effort too!!!
