Comment:

I love Maureen! I was never into speaking but she helped a lot. The class is made up of 5 speeches, discussions, worksheets, and online book work that is set up so you can only get a 100%. As long as you prepare for your speeches and show up, it is a great class. She is a tough grader but gives good feedback about why she gave a certain grade.

Comment:

McCreadie is a very fair professor, who will make you work for your grade. My class had to present four speeches, but there is a lot of online textbook work and assignments. Showing up for all the speeches is part of your grade, so don't skip, even if you already presented your speech. Will video tape your Informative Speech. Very good professor

I never dreaded a class as much as I did effective speaking. She made public speaking even more scary than it already was. Along with all the speeches, she has us do so much unnecessary work and piles of homework. My class also had to do these weekly discussions that were the worst.

She's a very nice lady and seems to care about all her students which is nice since most people in the class, including myself, have anxiety over public speaking. Unfortunately, after the intro speeches she grades very heavily and won't hesitate to take points off. She expects you get good at the speeches fairly quickly, or risk getting a low score

I loved this teacher. This was a class I was nervous to take because it is so outside of my comfort zone but she makes it enjoyable and slightly less nerve racking. You will know exactly what is expected of you on day one for the rest of the semester. Five speeches and textbook work make up your entire grade. NO FINAL!

Maureen is boring and doesn't make it fun or interesting enough in person. She makes me sleepy --get your caffeine ready. You can read the book and not need her. She seems nice but not exciting to me or can't relate to the age differences.

i could not respect a professor more. she is a wonderful woman and cares so much about her students. she also cares about what she's teaching. wonderful course, with wonderful criteria. I thoroughly enjoyed her class, and am taking her again in the spring. she does have too many chapter activities, and they're a hassle to do.

Maureen is truly an amazing woman, I felt like i was going to class and being taught by a caring grand-mom. She is spirited and really gets to know her students. Effective speaking was at first a scary class but she made every student so comfortable and supportive of each other. i was sad to go but i am happily taking another of her classes.

Maureen is a wonderful lady. She is super helpful and always there if you need her. I was nervous about public speaking at first but she was so good at getting the class comfortable. Definitely recommend her class.

DON'T TAKE HER ONLINE. DOESNT HAVE A CLUE--ARROGANT. Treats everyone like they are stupid little kids and she's a know it all. As an older student, she clearly doesn't know it!!! She might have some of the younger students fooled.
