Comment:
Her lectures are okay but she goes over things really fast and she is really smart and knows what she does but students are mostly confused. Her tests are the only thing graded, no homework or participation is part of the grade. Her grading is straightforward and material she gives is extremely tough, especially the exams.

Dr. Hendrata is the best Cal State LA Math professor. She plans her lectures beforehand and they are well-organized with a lot of examples. If it's not clear, she will give you some background information to fill in the gaps during class. She welcomes students in office hours. Dr. Hendrata is genuinely invested in teaching and it shows!

Comment:
Prof. Hendrata is a good prof. Has a unique accent that is easily understood. She is unclear in some topics, but answers your questions at a moment's notice. Linear Algebra is straightforward, but she makes it crystal clear. If you must know, she's cute, and very charming, but I had to drop after my midterm score. It wasn't her fault tho.

Comment:
She is a rather conservative instructor that presents the material in a matter-of-fact way, without telling any stories or jokes. The pace was very fast, but she did a great job of helping students with their homework difficulties, and misunderstandings during lectures. As with any 400 level class, you will still need to work very hard on your own.

What makes her great is that she's willing to pull back on the lesson for those who needs to catch up, for a few minutes at least. She speaks slowly, so it's easier to hear and understand. Tests costs the most of the grade, but as long as you pay attention and do the homework, it won't seem bad.

Professor Hendrata is seriously the coolest teacher out there. She is extremely clear on what she wants and she is very fair. The homework is optional, but it helps a lot when it comes to the test. The test are fair, just study. Do not be lazy. She is there to help when needed. Her explanations are very clear.

Very knowledgeable professor but her tests are difficult!! She makes up her own problems and throws some curveballs. She appears to be nice and helpful but her grading is to tough! Exams are designed such that one mistake in one problem can bring down your grade almost an entire letter. Final Exam was more difficult and her study guide was useless.

Dr. Hendrata is back at CSULA after getting her PhD, and the math dept is lucky to have her. Her lectures are very clear and she's really helpful. She's funny, smart, and (yes) very pretty. The class itself was fun. You'll enjoy it, especially if you like math and comp sci. There is some programming for HW, but not much. CS 201 is not required.
