This guy is the man. His voice was forged by the GODS, and his way of narrating will keep you somewhat enterTAINED!! but his lectures are pretty boring and long, but full of useful info. However, his essay midterm and final are fairly graded and both home. I would recommend this professor for anyone that is looking for a good mustache ride

Lectures were dry... tons of boring reading. Unfair TA who is a bitter law student. Would avoid in the future.

Very interesting class, but there is a ton of reading and it would be better if we had the prompts much earlier. However; midterm and final are two take home essays, and as long as you can write, include some of the readings, and follow the prompt you will do fine! He does talk really fast though.

Very interesting subject material, but WAY too much to fit into one paper. Paper topics are broad and hard to dissect. It would be helpful to have at least 3 weeks with the topic. It's difficult to fit 88 years of American legal history from 5 different books into a 12 page paper when you only have one week and are preparing/doing other finals.

The class was interesting, but the reading was too much to keep up with and have a life (i.e. work, rest, other classes). The essay prompt was extremely broad and given only a week before the essay was due. Would have made more sense if it had been available right from the start.

The class was American Legal History. I really liked his American Political Trials class but the legal history class had way too much info. Perhaps there should be three Legal History classes instead of 2. He is a good teacher but trying to keep up with the reading was too difficult. Every class needs some videos and pictures.

Too much information in one quarter. Midterm + Final (take home essays) questions are too broad. It is difficult condensing an entire book into a 10pg paper. Lots of work, but you will learn a lot. Oh yeah, and he is kinda funny lookin'

Id recommend this professor; his class was very interesting. Hes a bit funny looking and whenever he says war he screams it. "That was the case during the entire Civil WAAARR." Occasionally it made me laugh. But the class was great.
