I had him for service learning, so I didn't get a great sense of how he is as a professor. That said, in my experience, he always responded to emails in a timely manner and was very understanding.

He is the most incredible professor I've ever had. His lectures are interesting and witty and he mixes it up so that it is not a lecture the entire time. Attendance is mandatory and will benefit you. Highly recommended.

He's a good lecturer, and going to class really helps you understand the material. He definitely enjoys teaching, which is a plus. He's not very helpful when you go to him, though, and his tests had a bunch of random facts from the book instead of actual material. For the most part though, he's an interesting professor and an easy grader.

dont take this class unless you have to. Cunningham is a nice guy and it seems like an easy class, but he assigns A TON of reading and quizzes you on obscure details. he takes off points for no reason on papers. hes not very helpful and definitely plays favorites.

Dr. Cunningham is awesome. There is a bit of reading, but he's definitely entertaining. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does have extra credit pop quizzes. Tests are also not that hard...he's definitely easier than a 2.9 (what he's currently rated)

Absolutely amazing. It definately helps to have a professor who is so engaging and knows so much about the subject. The class itself helps explain a lot of high school woes and makes you feel completely normal. Downfall: a lot of work. Aside from general lecture/textbook work, also assigns 2-3 journal articles per week. Otherwise awesome!

One of the most demanding classes I have ever taken. The guy is nice, but the class is entirely too much work. TONS of reading, EXTREMELY fast lectures (makes note taking very difficult), hmwk due every Friday, plus if you do the service learning that's 20 to 40 hours more work during the semester. I wouldn't recommend this for non-psych majors. =(

intro to african-american psych -- eh, i didnt enjoy the class much. prof cunningham is, however, an extremely nice and funny man. he makes hilarious comments during class and acts really friendly to all the students. tests are a bit difficult and you have to do all teh readings in the book. final was unexpectedly difficult, i ended up w/ a B

Dr. Cunningham was great. His classes for the most part were interesting..he talks off the slides and then posts them online, but it helps to go to class because he offers extra credit randomly. His tests were pretty difficult but fair.

Dr.Cunningham is the man. The subject is interesting and he facilitates discussion in class. Although his humor is cheesy, its nice to have a professor who loves to interact so much with his students. He is very willing to meet with you outside of class and offers good insight into class material.

reads off the slides so you really don't need to take notes but he's still fun to listen to, lots of busy work but it helps boost your grade, 4 tests, drops one, can ask really obscure questions that you probably wouldn't have studied but overall interesting and not too difficult

No joke- the nicest, easiest professor you'll ever take. As long as you don't mind wasting ur semester learning next to nothing from Afro psych, though.
