I was really excited for Brain and Behavior, but I wasn't ready for it to be this hard. Maybe I just didn't do enough, but I seriously struggled. 3 tests and like 4 quizzes, all pretty hard with like weirdly specific questions. Super easy out of class assignments, all interesting content, but I'm gonna need a grace of god for this final test.

Took the summer session and I really did love it; I was a worried coming into it because it was a lot of information, but I feel like I got the most out of it because he really does take the time to break down EACH concept. He's really clear about each subtopic and is always available during office hours to answer your questions. Take it seriously.

Honestly, if you take notes on everything (he writes on the board exactly what you need to know) and don't zone out during the videos he shows you'll be fine. It's more of a bio class, which means you need to study for tests like you would for a bio class. Otherwise, he's not a super difficult professor at all as long as you attend every class.

This is the hardest class I have ever taken. He tests you on literally anything he says in class. Not quite sure why he is the only professor teaching this course. Seriously has made me hate the subject I love, probably going to change my major.

Took Foy for Brain Behavior. All classes are lectures. He gives lots of opportunities to get a good grade, go to his tutoring, and his classes are fairly interesting. But Lots of people had questions during class and each question was treated like it was a 6 yr old asking. He also likes to brag about his success in college. Honestly a fair teacher.

People don't like him but I thought he was great. His teaching was so easy to understand and he uses lots of funny stories and visuals to help understand it better. His material is hard, but he tries his best to help people understand. He is free office hours and pushes everyone to take the tutor sessions (which are free).

Make sure to pay attention in class. As long as you copy down what he writes on the board and study it then you'll do great, easy A. The quizzes and tests are extremely straightforward.

Dr. Foy is a great professor, you can tell that he is passionate about the material. He is fair and straight forward. You must attend his class in order to do well on his exams, (3 exams, 1 final) you must stay on top of it in order get a good grade. If you go to his office hours he is really helpful and helps you understand the material better.

This class is extremely hard. He tests you on basically anything that he states in class. He comes across as arrogant and rude to his students. He also doesn't show any of his students any type of encouragement, just makes you feel doubtful about your grade. The average grade in the class is typically a C and I'm not just saying that. Good luck.

I took Dr. Foy for Brain and Behavior and he was great! The class is extremely interesting and Dr. Foy's way of lecturing is very convenient and easy to follow. The tests are very hard though, and he would literally test you on anything he said in class. He's very traditional and comes off as cold sometimes but he knows his stuff.

I took Brain and Behavior with Dr. Foy this summer and the class exceeded my expectations. I was dreading to take the class and kept putting off taking it, but he was very sweet and explained topics thoroughly. I didn't use the book that often, but it was definitely important to follow his lecture outline and pay attention during class.

The lecture outline is incredibly helpful. You NEED to go to every class to get the lecture notes because he only puts on the test what was talked about in class. He can ask really tricky questions on his exams, and you really need to be good at memorizing to do well.

His lectures are kind of boring and dry and he's very professional in that he stand in front of class, lectures, and is done. BUT he has a lecture outline which shows all that will be on the quizzes/tests. and he is very thorough in his lectures. MUST go to class everyday to pass. He is also very fair.

This professor made me hate the one subject I love. It almost seemed like he tried to make the course more difficult than it had to be. I transferred to a University to further my education. I did not do so to be treated like an eighth grader. If you're not a brainiac do not take Foy, he will ruin your experience studying brain and behavior.

Pretty straightforward class especially if you did well in PSYC 101 and HHSC 150. Good overall professor. No essays, just multiple quizzes, in-class assignments, tests, and a final. Didn't open the book once, just paid attention in lecture and followed along with the lecture outline he creates. Would recommend.

Wonderful professor. He describes the concepts in ways that are easy to understand. Also he is very helpful if you go in to office hours, but try to bring specific questions.

Very clear professor. He is also fair. You only need to use the book to clarify things during class you don't understand. Don't be fooled though- his tests are extremely hard and you have to pay attention during every class (and go to every class). He tries to make the class interesting through real-life examples which does somewhat help.

Dr. Foy is not approachable at first but just get to know him, be polite. Don't eat in his class as he gets annoyed easily. He loves what he teaches but isn't always clear in class (does use/stick to lecture outline though). Tests are semi-difficult but not crazy hard. Didn't use textbook very much and it wasn't of much use except for clarification
