Comment:

Professor Connolly is one of the most brilliant professors at LMU. He's very well informed and his readings (while a bit long) are quite engaging. Discussions were the best part of class; he really pays attention to the opinions of his students and keeps his own view on religion ambiguous which makes the subject matter a bit more enticing.

Comment:

Professor Connolly is one of my favorite professors. His class was always interesting and the readings, although there were a lot, weren't too long and were interesting. His lectures were always easy to follow and he is very interested about listening to the opinions of his students. Take this class.

Comment:

Professor Connolly was one of the BEST professors I've ever had. His lectures are very easy to follow and his study guides reflect exactly what will be on the exam. Speak up in discussions and visit during office hours. You have about a 80% chance of getting an A. Try to take this professor! He's amazing.

Comment:

Easy material to understand although there is a lot of reading required. The quizes and the midterm aren't difficult mostly consisting of T/F, identification and the dreaded essay. The required term paper is only 5 pages so do stress. Professor Connolly's lectures are easy to follow and he is willing to ehlp you throughout the semester!

Boring class. Overall the readings are so ridiculous to read and though he makes things clear your more apt to fall alsepp in his class than learn anything of value. Take ANYONE else.

Such a nice and friendly man! He loves to hear your opinions and does everything he can to help you. I had trouble with some of the information we were tested on but I got a B in the class and I'm no model student! He presents the class with no bias what-so-ever. I couldn't even tell if he believed in God or not which was a good thing for the class

Dr. Connolly has office hours that are open at all times of the day...he really wants to help you out and is willing to stay late to help a student who doesn't get it. Although the material is kind of boring, he mixes things up w/ movies and songs. :) He is a fairly easy grader, but one MUST study in order to do well....A LOT OF MATERIAL

I have no interest in Theology, so I found this class to be incredibly boring. Prof. Connolly is very friendly and open to hearing other points of view, so he was great. But the material was difficult. You definitely have to pay attention and study hard for the exams. If you like learning about theories for belief & unbelief, you'll enjoy the class

Really nice guy, very helpful in office hours. Class is easy as long as you try and give input. 2 bigger quizzes, a midterm, a final, and a paper. Open to suggestion and looks at all angles.

He's a good natured man. Very cheerful and happy to be teaching. His tests are kind of tough but class discussions are fun (at times, sometimes it's boring). If philosophy and theology is your thing you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Somewhat difficult, but the in-class discussions are really thought-provoking. He's a friendly, intelligent man who approaches the sensitive subject matter without bias despite being deeply Catholic. Won't make you feel stupid for believing whatever you believe, and enjoys hearing your opinion.

he was a cute little old man who likes to laugh he's very helpful and his tests aren't that hard just know your stuff just saying anything in a discussion and you'll do fine overall he's a nice guy and willing to help you. You don't even really have to study that much.

Dr. Connolly had us read his book and then lectured on it again. His class was very repetative, and didn't actually cover enough types of belief to warrent the class title. I thought this class would be great but it was boring and he was obnoxious.
