Comment:

The class itself is great, you get to learn a lot about Cinema's history and view old films and learn their techniques. Frontani knows a bunch and is enthusiastic about the material, just be warned that you have 2 tests that are relatively hard if you don't study, and a giant term paper! The class is great, very informative, and worth taking though

Comment:

The amount of structure of lecture notes is what really frustrated me about this class. Most of what was being said went over my head, and despite what I did take away, exams always included information that wasn't discussed in class. I don't remember ever being assigned readings either, and I wish I had been so I'd understand everything better.

Coolest professor ever. He's a Beatles buff, chooses some amazing media for class, and rarely assigns homework. I plan to take a class with him again

I loved his class! I actually looked forward to coming to class everyday. I learned more in his class than I ever had in a class before, the guy is passionate about what he teaches and so it makes you passionate about it as well. Lots of papers and few tests and I actually prefer that over real tests. Take his class!

Frontani is the man! He's extremly smart, funny, and makes each class worth going to. The majority of the course is one research paper, but if you spread out the work, it's not bad at all. Awesome music, awesome professor, awesome books. Take this class.

This teahc is the smartest guy I know. Yes, he makes you read a lot, but I got away with not reading entire books. His lectures are so interesting, and I am not the "class-ejoying" type...hey, the man held my attention. I give him props.

I loved Dr. Frontani's classes. He does make you read alot and doesn't always collect homework, but i felt like i did learn alot in his classes. He wants his students to be successful and his door is always open if you're having a problem.

This guy loves 8am classes... took one last semester and am taking one this semester... Basically if you're a film major you can't avoid this guy or the dreaded 8ams You watch a million movies and read a ton, but it basically comes down to memorization

Very nice but sooo lazy. So much useless reading that you write summaries about every week and he doesnt collect until like 4 weeks later and you watch irrelevant movies every class. no final exam though and he is open to scheduling changes
