Comment:
Todd is easily THE WORST professor I have had. It's almost as if he assumes his class is the only obligation we have, as he expects you to engage in discussion boards every day of the week. He also assigns a lot of reading and quizzes over it which are easy. On the exams he took points off for no reason as if he simply won't allow for full credit.

Grades very hard. I think he's the most thorough grader I've ever had outside of some of my School of Ed profs. You have to respond to discussion board posts throughout the week. He keeps up with them. Had to write a ten-page research paper throughout the semester. He expects you to read A LOT. If you want to breeze by, don't take this guy.

For his online history of technology class he gives weekly quizzes and discussions, but only gives two exams the entire semester. Every week you will have a discussion board and a quiz over the 60-80 page readings from the two books. You can't google the quizzes and they are pretty difficult. It is very easy to fail with this professor.

He assigned a 3000-word paper which I've worked on throughout the semester. The rough draft is due in a week, but he said in the syllabus that he doesn't have time to read/grade them (yes, seriously). We have discussion board posts each week which we must respond to within 48 hours and on different days. This just another redundant online class (:

Online class. Lots of reading and weekly quizzes. There's a debate on Darwin towards the end and a 2000-3000 word paper on whatever side you are assigned. If you don't like debate, lots of reading and posting a ton of discussions for full points, don't take this class.

Mr. Timmons is a good teacher, he enjoys what he teaches, and expects you to participate in his class. I took him online, he is clear on his grading criteria, make sure you participate fully in the discussions, follow the guidelines n the research paper. If you read the syllabus you should do fine.

It's more of a drama class than a history class, and he favors students who can just casually bs their way through speeches. The tests are difficult and expect you to remember obscure details, the class is mostly a stupid "Darwin Game" that doesn't really teach anything, and you're expected to have copious amounts of time for reading.

There is a lot of reading, you will need the books he assigns. On the test he wants you to be very specific, despite the review being so long. He add more on the review then will be on the exam, thus wasting our time management on studying. On the games he is unclear on how to play and most of the time you are unsure of what you are doing.

Not a huge fan of the Trial of Galileo but that's just due to shyness. If you do what he asks that's an easy grade. For the other material: his tests are very challenging but I feel like I've retained more information through his quizzes and tests than I do with more common formats. An A is not impossible. You will work for it.

This is one of the worst classes, I have ever had. Quizzes all the time, Trial of Galileo is for the birds. Im not a drama major. Encourages people to argue and debate in class. Is not fair about it. Allows people to yell at and cut off other people. Horrible!

This is the worst class I have ever taken. Thus far I have kept straight A's; however, I don't believe this class will be one of them. He assigns a lot of reading (2 chapters in one book and 1 chapter in a second book per week), then a quiz (very in depth, tricky, confusing questions), and only gives 10 minutes for 9-10 question quizzes.

Took this guy for an online history class. Get ready for lots and I mean LOTS of reading, little to no communication between you and the teacher, and harsh tests. You get a quiz every week and you have to write a book review at the end of the semester worth 20% of your grade.

Dr Timmons History of Modern Science is IMMENSLEY interesting to anyone curious about the evolution of our science since the 16th century. Daily quizes force reading and comprehension for tests and are easy to ace with open notes you take during reading prior to class. 3 tests and mult choice final based 100% on quizes. Challenging but worth it!

Dr. Timmons is great! I took History of Modern Science with him and he made it really interesting! There's quite a bit of reading with pop quizzes and a trial of Galileo you have to do, but his class isn't very hard. He's a really nice guy

Very very tough class. Had a book review that was 20% of our final grade, and the instructions for it were very unclear. His tests are very indepth, some questions taken from only one sentence. Each test was over around 15 chapters from two books. Hardest class I've taken, and it's an electives course!

Terrible teacher! He was not helpful at all. He acts like the smartest guy alive but yet can't give you a clear answer. I make straight A's and I had to drop his class because he was awful at his job.

Could not answer questions in class - just kept saying, "see me after class". He didn't seem to have full grasp of the concepts necessary to teach this class. Tests were nothing like the lectures, and mistakes were made frequently on boardwork...find another job Tim, and find another teacher kids.

Horrible teacher!! I had a very hard time in this class because out of 100% of what he taught us 60% was on his tests and 20% was on the extremely hard final. It upsets me that school is so expensive and with that money they can not provide adequate teachers who know what they are talking about. Don't take this guy if you are serious about passing.
