Comment:

Really good professor. There are about 10 or so grades for the entire semester but all so easy. Mostly papers and a debate & exam but he give you exactly what to write and its common sense. Easy A, just show up to class and take notes. Talks a lot but is goofy. Cancelled class a lot which was nice and every time a paper is due you get the week off.

For me there were at least 15 days where he canceled, some may say that this is a good thing but not having class made it difficult to learn material that he didn't provide outside of class. When sending him emails he was extremely rude and short. Lots of reading. When grading papers he takes a few months usually. Extremely boring class and lecture

Good professor. He's very nice and pretty chill. I had a few times where I got confused in his class and wouldn't to the assignment fully correct but he would never get mad and he would explain to me, personally, what to do. He does lecture a lot but doesn't get mad if you're on your computer!

Overall not a bad professor. He cancelled class about 7 times due to sickness or other personal issues. There are 5 papers but all super easy because he gives you exactly what he wants in each. He takes forever to grade things and even longer to put grades in blackboard but show up to class for the attendance points and it will be an easy A.

Mostly wrote papers in here but they werent hard & didn't have to be very long. Most of them had to do with personal opinion. I got A's on every single one of my papers. He is an easy A. He was sick a lot of the semester, so we didn't have class. He wants you to pass, just put in some effort and you will do just fine. He is a nice guy and genuine

The rudest professor I've ever had. His online class is so unorganized & every time I would email him with questions he had the rudest responses & never answered my questions. He grades way too hard & has high expectations. I wrote great papers yet peer reviewed papers that did not have full sentences. How did they pass? Oh and WAY TOO MANY EMAILS.

Harrold is a great teacher. He doesn't make you buy a book in order to save money. He explains the essays' well and as long as you put a little effort into his class it's an easy A.

This class was graded off of about 5 papers,a group project, and attendance. The teacher was fairly sick during my course, but was easily contactable and wanted you to pass the class. The papers are not terribly hard to do and three of them are based on personal opinions that he grades unbiased if you follow the instructions.

Does not put any grades on Blackboard until the very end of the semester. Constantly emails the class telling them personal issues going on in his life. Does not give good feedback on papers and leaves rude comments on them if you do not follow the directions completely instead of leaving helpful comments.

Worst Professor that I have had at ISU. DO NOT TAKE HIM! He takes forever to grade your assignments. I asked for feedback because I had received none by the time mid-term grades were due and he e-mailed back a response that stated that he had 125 students and it was impossible to give me any individual feedback. Steer Clear of him!

He is very inconsistent. Feedback was usually negative even when I got an "A." Not sure I learned much. His "lectures" were just narratives he posted on the website. Seemed like he just wanted to post a comment and then read papers when he got around to it. It was the most frustrating course I have ever taken.

Worst professor I've ever had at ISU. Completely unprofessional when emailing and very rude. Does not give grades back in a timely manner - It's April and I have an assignment from January that has not been graded yet. Easy A though.

Part of your grade in this class is just showing up. Prof. Harrold gives you plenty of time for long papers, so there is no reason not to get them done. Some days, you will even get out of class early. He is a very helpful professor and always answers questions. Some weeks you won't even have class, so it is pointless to even miss classes.

The class is pretty laid back. The lectures could be boring but talk about the clearest English teacher you could ask for. If you get less than an A on the essay after the conference with him you didn't do what he said.

This is honestly one of my fav profs! He's the nicest guy and works with his students. Yes he has lectures but who doesn't? He truly cares about his students. Grades very fair! BEST PROF AT ISU FOR ENGLISH 105! THANKS MR. Harrold!

I took Harrold for Eng 105 and 305 I recommend him to anyone. Yes you write papers but he always give you a week past the due date to turn it in. He is not a tough grader just follow his through instructions on blackckboard He is boring but that is school. TAKE HIS CLASS Great Guy and will work with you in situations as long you show up for class

Easy professor, but he makes sure you learn what you need to. Stands up front and lectures most classes, but others he does little in class group activities and you have a major debate at the end of the year.

Not a hard class at all. You will never you the text book!! 3 times during the semester there will be a week of no class. He doesnt really teach, he talks. Monotone! Stutterers a little bit and says "um, uh" a lot!!
