Great Professor. Just needed a science class with a lab so I decided to take this class. Hes very easy going and gives extra points for attendance. Just study for the tests which are very fair and you will get an A. Nice guy also.

Most boring class ever. Do not take him. This is the worst science I have ever taken. I have tried to pay attention and focus but I can really because it isnt so boring.

Two field trip soil pits and two on campus pits to analyze. Textbook use is heavy with a quiz each day. Pay attention to detail when writing descriptions. He is ALWAYS available during office hours and via email & gives great feedback and suggestions.

Quantitative Methods in Earth Sciences is an easy A, there's homework due once a week and two large data projects (midterm & Final). He allows a cheat sheet for each test. Attendance was never taken & I never opened my textbook - he taught everything we needed to know in the lecture (so pay attention to the slides)

Dr. Benedetti is a real gem. This class was Soils in the Earth Sciences and he made it fun & interesting. There's two field trips and two on campus pits to analyze. Textbook use is heavy (quiz almost every day) and you need to pay attention to detail when writing descriptions. He is ALWAYS available during office hours and via email.

Dr. Benedetti is a great professor - And - His class is NOT boring! His lectures are interesting and really make you think about different earth processes when you are walking around outside. He is knowledgable and helpful when it comes to applying information. He is always willing to meet with you and explain concepts too!

Clear presentations and expectations for tests. Tests were without surprises and reasonably easy if you did the online work, paid attention in class, and studied the pre-test guide.

You will earn an A if you put the effort in. His lectures are somewhat dry since he only goes over PowerPoints. Take notes, do the online assignments, and use the review guide while studying for the exams. A huge plus is the 15 times he takes attendance throughout the semester where you can earn up to 5 extra points on your grade.

Benedetti gives arguably the most boring lectures on campus, but he offers extra credit points once a week for coming to class that can add up to 5% to your final grade. Half of the test questions come directly from the online quizzes, and the other half are covered on his study guides. Not a bad class to take if you need a life science.

Take this class. The labs are comparatively short, and the tests are directly from the study guide and mastering quizzes. He give extra credit on mastering as well as for attendance, so its hard to get a bad grade. He covers a lot of information, but most of it isn't difficult to comprehend or remember. Overall he is a great teacher.

Hard class if you aren't a science major. Lectures are extremely boring and he isn't very clear. Tests come from powerpoints and online quizzes-still hard though. Lab is fairly easy but tricky at times. Go to class to boost your grade because he gives extra credit for attendance. If you aren't interested in geography take another science if you can

He is a horrible professor. Smart but he has no idea how to run a class. Our whole class failed a quiz that he gave on a chapter reading which was extremely specific, and he considered it a "success" and is going to continue giving us these quizzes. Most boring lectures I've ever heard. Don't take this class if you value your time or sanity

This professor was awesome. He went slowly explaining everything and gave extra credit and helped the class alot. His tests were easy and the only complaint I have is it was boring at some times, but that is because it was statistics. He made it as interesting as he could.

Dr. Benedetti is the MAN! His class last semester was pretty chill. Easy A if you don't want to take a hard lab class like bio or physics. He usually made it pretty interesting but same days i literally couldn't stay awake in class because he was on a boring tangent. Def take his class for an easy A

Dr. Benedetti is a super chill dude. His class is relatively easy if you attend it weekly and he gives extra credit. The tests are pretty easy and he gives you a study guide that really helps. The lab is pretty easy too. The only set back is he can be a bit long winded when lecturing and it gets boring after a while.

He is a very laid back and pleasant professor, he doesn't ramble about pointless things. He is to the point and makes it clear what is expected of you. Kind of a boring class, but I would recommend it if you need a science.

I hate going to lecture, but he offers extra credit points through his Question of the day, so if you want extra credit, you get it through attendance. He's really nice, gives you a study guide, so you just have to study. He's kind of hot in a nerdy, Ross Gellar (Friends), kind of way.

This class is boring, but he tries his best to make itinteresting. TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT so dont miss class! The labs are also easy, his tests can be a little tricky sometimes so definitely do the study guide. I liked this class a lot. Dr. Benedetti is so adorable and was a great teacher!

Most of the people that take this class are only taking it to easily fulfill a basic studies requirement, and he knows this so he's not too strict. The class can be very boring at times, but overall its probably an easier choice than the other sciences for people that just want to get it out of the way. Tests are kind of hard, but I recommend him.

Prof. Benedetti is a nice guy and he enjoys his work. But he's very scientific and if you don't work hard to remember the material you will have a hard time. His tests are on things you don't think to study for, which makes it hard to do well.
