Comment:

This was one of the hardest classes I've taken, yet the most enjoyable. The assignments were very involved and took hours but were interesting. The exams were tough still reasonable. If you are not afraid of a challenge, take this course.

Comment:

Nice enough, but pretentious. Fully admits to monotone mumbling when lecturing, but says to "deal with it and sit closer". Extremely boring and somehow doesn't know how to work moodle or general technology. Likes to put his personal opinions in the book he wrote and requires (even put some of it on the final). I skipped class just to avoid him.

One of the most boring, unorganized teachers I've ever had. I stopped going to class because I couldn't focus. Watching paint dry would be more interesting. I passed with a B even without reading the book. I just glanced over the study guides and paid attention in lab.

This class has no tests. Zero. But get ready to spend anywhere from 30-80 hours per WEEKLY assignment for this class (which he likes to claim are a lot easier than they turn out to be) - on top of about 10 hours a week for your group project. Do not take this class in a 12-hour quarter, unless you're a robot who doesn't need sleep.

First off, if you're not a CS major, forget about taking this class. No point at all. If you're not a CS major, he basically treats you as a misfit child. As if you aren't good enough to be in the class. Plus, he dosen't speak very loud for a huge sized class.

if the internet was a person, it would be mike o'neal. sit near the front, 'cause he doesn't shout. he's pretty awesome, but like he'll tell you, he's got an irish temper. i'd recommend the CSC 100 class to anybody. real fun guy. just make sure you review the material.

This is the most difficult teacher I have ever had. Besides the fact of how rude this guy is he gives test virtually impossible to pass. One class period and 2 days before the final he told us we wouldn't have a study guide and to just look at the 250 pages. Didn't even tell us what might be on there. He never went over material he put on there.

Little guy with a big personality. Knows his stuff about everything computer related, but nothing hardware. Nice man, but short fuse for slackers. Take good notes, the tests will be easy, but reading the book is a big help. He doesn't require people to attend class, but he dropped the curve for my class as a result of attendance.

Very good teacher. Very helpful and thorough, he wrote the textbook. I learned a lot from him. Some people thinks he acts mean, but just don't be late for his class and follow his rules. He is a great teacher and makes you learn. You have to learn to succed in future CSC classes.

Best teacher I had this quarter. His tests are thorough, but he teaches everything you need to know if you pay attention in lectures. Labs are fun and overall ths is a great class and great teacher.
