Lectures felt long and dragged out; he's not the best at explaining things in a straight forward way. Tests/quizzes based on handouts and lecture notes so show up every week. Outlines what will be on the test the class beforehand. Lab can get confusing but he's happy to help. Group project can be a pain so choose your group wisely.

He's great. Unexpectedly funny guy. You will not like him if you are a bad student, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Course material is pretty much just his lectures and handouts, so show up.

Horrible teacher he is not helpful at all he likes to do alot of examples which is good but sometimes he never finishes them so you dont know if u got the rite anwser. also on quizes and test he doesnt say why u got the problem wrong he will just mark points off.

Comment:

Instructor uses CD's for teaching most of the material. Very little discussion on reading and CD reports. Midterm exam is over material from reading and inclass stuff where he will not correct his mistakes where we prove the answer wrong! Also keeps midterm where you cannot study it. Exams have 20+ multiple choice, 10 T/F, and 6 essay questions!

Ok, i am a foreigner, and speak a lot more clearly that this professor. Very hard to understand. He is nice, i guess, but he gives too many writing assignments. SOMEONE reads and corrects them for him, and then he re-corrects it. In your favor, but still, what does it tell you? You gotta do ton of assignments, but he is not too hard.

Hilarious and very helpful professor. He will always take time to help you understand the material...plus, he sounds like a Korean kickboxing announcer when he's calling names out while giving back papers. IMHO, he is one of the best professors in the Technology department.

Overall it is an easy class. Kim gives busy work with the CD units and some in-class assignments. However, they are easy to do. Lectures tell you exactly everything you need to study and need to read for the exams. Do well on the exams, attend class to do the in-class assignments, do the paper and quick presentation and you'll get an A.

I really like Mr. Kim. He is very helpfull and like the other said, very funny. He keeps you interested in the material and his labs are alot of fun. I liked the labs so much that it was like playtime instead of labtime. Two thumbs up for Mr. Kim!

He is a great teacher for this class. Test are based on the lecture material, so dont even bother with the book. He is pretty funny and will go out of his way to help students in the lab.

Do not take this class (Tech & Civilization). I learned absolutely nothing, but I did all the work and got an A. He's an ok teacher, but all he gives is busy work and doesn't create a warm atmosphere in the classroom.

Dr. Kim is one of the few professors I have respect for. He makes learning fun with his good sense of humor. He's knowledgeable in the subject. Just make sure to ask for help if you're not too clear. He's more than willing to help. Great curriculum!

I really enjoy his lecture, he's a pretty funny guy and cool guy to talk to. His class seems pretty hard at first, but it's not bad at all. Definately recommended!!
