I see many negatives about this man. Personally, I didn't mind him. The long papers are an inevitable part of English, so I won't take my frustration out on someone for that. I saw cases of student's snapping at him and disrespecting him first, so he was on the defensive. Respect him, he'll respect you. Yes, there'll be a few papers to write.

Good teacher, but you can't understand a THING that comes out of his mouth. Not his problem, though, he was born and raised in Nigeria (if I remember correctly) and he writes everything he says on the board so it's not too hard. He is willing to help you out and takes time to assist you if you need it, though. Overall, he's a pretty good professor, his accent just takes a little getting used to.

He is the worst teacher I have ever taken. He makes you feel uncomfortable and even told our class that we were stupid. He has a very thick accent and is hard to understand. His assignments were not too hard but his grading was pretty tough.

he is terrible. You cant understand him at all. He assignes papers, but he dosnt even know the criteria. You will only get a good grade if you suck up, but dont plan on it if you are a girl. Because he only likes guys. He is the worst you could possibly get - trust me.

Dr. Wanyama can be very hard to understand at first. However, after a week or so you will get used to the way he speaks and that will no longer be a problem. Participate in class, attend every class period, do your papers on time, and most importantly get involved in his class and you will do fine!

He is extremely hard to understand. I feel like I didn't learn anything or improve my writing skills at all. He is very hard to approach and makes people feel very uncomfortable. His teaching skills are terrible and I strongly suggest you do not take his course!

If you can make it through every class period, you'll get a good grade. It is a really hard class to sit through. He is a little ambiguous in his expectations, but if you go to class you'll go fine!! Accent takes some getting used to, and but he writes EVERYTHING on the board.

I disagree. I went to talk to him and he totally is cool. Alot of my classmates went and dissed him daily because of his language. Its easy when you pay attention to him. If you have problems go see him. He is quite nice.

Accent is difficult to understand at first. I agree with "teaches like a grad class." I had the top score in the class - B+. VERY DIFFICULT GRADER for 200 level class. Would not recommend.
