I took this class to finish my minor in art history, and it was clear from day one that I bit off a bit more than I could chew. She was not easy (and as an art major I was SO rusty at this kind of thing), but it was fascinating! She's very kind, so as long as you show you are genuinely interested, she will help you! I passed and have no regrets. c:

3 or more unexcused absences, and you drop a letter. Excused absence doctor's note (no comment), jury duty, or funeral. "Takes role visually". Map Quizzes are hard difficult. Quiz every week. Never posts grades online. Took points for faint printer ink (I used the library). Very intelligent and charming but the hardest final exam I've ever taken.

You have to read all the myths to do well on the exams. DO NOT save it for the day before the exam. Exams are fill in the blank or open end questions that are VERY detailed. Her studies guides will help you get a good grade if you're amazing at memorizing. Two essays were very easy. I would not take this class again.

Although Professor De Grummond was funny and very charming, her tests were almost impossible because answers are all fill in the blanks where you would need to know every single detail of a story. Also, you don't know you're grade until the very last second right before grades are due, so good luck knowing where you stand in the class!

Lovely professor. Lectures can be a little boring, but it pays to show up and pay attention. Tests are fill-in-the-blank and can be tricky with all the information you have to remember. You CANNOT PASS without studying. But it is definitely doable. Bought the books, barely used them. Relied completely on her lectures, review notes, and powerpoints.

She is the kindest woman I have ever met, I wish she were my grandma. Her material is interesting, it's basically a story telling class and she just tells you interesting myths from around the world. You have to get used to her testing style but she has review sessions which are helpful. I love that woman.

All of her tests are full in the blank containing loads of information that is almost too much to remember. Says she curves her exams but is so vague in grading you can barely tell. Not an easy course. Do not take unless you are genuinely passionate about mythology. Taking this as a fill in course will hurt your GPA as it did mine.

Dr. de Grummond is an amazing woman and I enjoyed her honors section class. She showed that she cared about all of us and is enjoyable to be around. Her tests are very detail oriented but she reviews the material we need to know for the test so it's very doable. The 2 essays are pretty easy but you do have to read before class. I recommend!

She provides study guides that are the lifeline to passing the tests. Her tests are very detailed-based so know every detail by heart. Attendance isn't mandatory, but her lectures might have some minor details that the study guides don't. The essays (two 2,000 words) are so easy but make sure to turn them in on time.

I was in her honors section mythology class. It was a round table discussion. She is the best professor I've had at FSU.

Nancy is a very smart and nice older lady who loves mythology. Her class is based off of a paper and two exams. Her exams are hard and you need to know the details. She is very big on participation so if you do not like speaking shy away from her. The class is interesting but challenging. An A is within distance if you dedicate yourself.

What an inspiring woman. Very knowledgable in her subject. 3 tests, 1 paper, and quizzes on most Friday's. Non-cumulative final. Friday quizzes are based on the previous 3 lectures. I definitely recommnend her.

She is an amazing professor. I've taken her in multiple classes and every one was wonderful. They have been my favorite classes at FSU, especially in regards to Art history courses. She makes the subject interesting and real. She definitely expects you to learn the material she teaches in class. So go to class, pay attention, and study for tests!

Her lectures are interesting and she is very knowledgable on the topics discussed in class. She loves when students are engaged in lecture. Weekly quizzes are helpful for students to stay on top of the material. As a Classical Archaeologist, she is more oriented towards the Classical aspects of the course (warning to Art History students)

Professor De Grummond is very nice and clearly very educated, but I sometimes felt that she wasn't necessarily the best teacher for this course. She talked a lot more about her specialty (classics) and not so much the art side of art history. I also felt that most of this class was geared towards the grad students and undergrads were ignored.

I, Claudius. Watched movies during class, read for homework. One big paper at end but she is very helpful. Small class size allows for great discussion and lets her truly get to know you. Be sure to go to class and talk! She is extremely knowledgable. Toga party at her house at end of semester. I loved going to class :)

The class overall was easy and enjoyable to attend. She added extra credit options for the first time that bring any test grade up a letter. Her grading system is stupid, but with enough studying an A is easy. DONT BUY THE BOOKS!! never once read them. she explains the readings in class.
