This class was completely fine for me, she didn't make or break it. The class lectures are important and in addition to that you just have to read the assigned chapters to do well on the tests. The people who don't do well typically don't read the book. Tests are long, essay questions are about topics covered in class.

Comment:

Nathalie is a really nice person, but not very clear in lectures, and it's hard to grasp where the most important information comes from. The book readings she assigns are pertinent to survival in the class due to the ideas being on the exams. The final (especially multiple choice) is brutal.

She is a good teacher, very smart, and really knows what she is talking about. She can have a problem "dumbing" things down to make it easier to learn, but she is extremely helpful if you see her during office hours. The tests were difficult and require a lot of studying. Also, if you want a decent grade you need to go to class

She's nice, but methods was horrible. The book was awful and she didn't offer us any examples otherwise. The exams were all horrible and everything was a guessing game.

Prof. Goubet takes a research oriented approach to developmental psych, which is interesting but sometimes makes class pretty boring. She's sometimes vague and unclear in her assignment expectations and her tests have some material we would never really covered in class and was only briefly covered in the textbook. Not too friendly

If she does not like you... you will not make it through her class. There is also a very clear language barrier. Also not much of a help, if you ask her a question she will just tell you to look at the notes or read the book that has nothing to do with the class

soon became evident that those who hold different opinions from her own will suffer in class. fun topics-but irrelevent tests and papers. lots of boring busy work. Felt a bit like the 5th grade. Nice lady though.

She is a very good professor. Anytime I needed help she would respond with an e-mail right away or meet with me anytime I had free. Her class is very interesting and the discussions are great! I loved her class!

GREAT teacher. She was always very clear with what she wanted and very helpful. She made me want to major in psychology. Her lectures were always interesting and she actually cared about her students. She is a MUST have.

Lectures are usually pretty good, and the exams are thorough, but she tells you exactly what you need to study to do well. Just going to class will get you decent grades. The service learning requirement got to be sort of annoying though. Still an ok class and a good prof.
