Had to exchange 3 emails before I got a straight answer regarding a grade. He wouldn't tell me the issue, only said that it was wrong. The midterm, which is a written 2 part exam, i got an F. I reach out to ask why since he left no notes. VERY harsh grader and based on the 'reasons', I deserved WAY higher than an F. Doesnt care if you pass or fail.

This is my second time taking Ethics so I was a bit nervous but Dr. Manias was amazing! As long as you read the material and do the work, there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A!

outlines exactly what he expects. His assignments are detailed and directly related to what we are reading in the chapter. I took this class online and watching the youtube lectures really helped enforce what was being read in the textbook. you MUST read the text and do every assignment in order to be successful.

Comment:

The key to an online class is the organization of the instructor. I've taken some online classes and Dr. Manias is one of the best I've had in that respect. It was an 8-week class so being organized was more important than usual. He responded to questions quickly, cleared up issues when they did arise, graded fairly, and gave great feedback.

He is a very cool and mostly understanding professor but if you miss any class you will have a hard time with the rest of the semester. I had gotten very sick and missed 2 meetings and my grade dropped from an A to an F and it's impossible to come back up past a D. Besides that if you go to every class and do all assignments you can skip the final.

Mr Manias is one of the best instructors i have encountered. He really gives the college a great name. He is very hands on and the knowledge that he has allows him to move his class forward with a thorough understanding of the information being presented. As long as you show up and participate you will do just fine. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!

I am a student from out of state and enjoyed this class. He sent you videos of small lectures regarding the work or chapter at hand. Be sure to read the book, online or a physical copy. His class was great though! Easy to a point and straight forward discussions, tests, and quizzes. The midterm was the hardest test!! Just do the work on-time. (:

I took professor Manias for ethics1600. He was the best professor I had all semester . I actually hate that I took him blended because I only got to see him once a week and really looked forward to his class. He made learning fun, easy, clear, and simple. His lectures were never boring and his homework was super easy. Gave good/honest feedback.
