Do the homework. If you do that homework you can easily pass this class. He's a pretty good guy, gives a curve but it's based on his opinion. If you're close to a letter grade he'll bump you up, if you improved over the semester he'll bump you up. Quizzes every week and 4 exams all based on the homework given. Nice guy. 8/10.

Always willing to work through problems with you. He moves quickly but he's very attentive to his students and will make sure that everyone is on the same page. "Is this clear? Is it clear?" He describes the kinds of problems that will be on each test and devotes one class period before each to answering questions. Quizzes every week.

Zhao was overall a good professor. He wants you to understand. He has an accent but speaks loudly so it isn't too hard to understand him most of the time. There are weekly quizzes and the exams are based off of the homework. The homework isn't graded but I would recommend doing it to prepare for the quizzes and tests. He gives exam review before

lectures go very fast but he teaches well. quizzes every week, 4 tests, hw isn't collected but quiz/test questions come straight from it. intimidating at first, but wants to make sure you understand the topics and always asks to make sure you do. very straightforward with expectations. he'll teach but you have to put in work to do well in his class

You really have to put so much effort into this class which is fair enough. I was doing fairly well when he decided "too many people are passing" and made our next exam near to impossible. He skips steps when showing us the problems which can be really confusing. Do the homework over and over for practice and get help. Or get a different professor.

Knows the material well so he goes over it very fast. If you don't understand something, speak up, or he will assume it is clear and move on. Homework isn't required, but do at least some of the suggested problems because they are exactly what will be on exams. Don't get tripped up by the later material or you'll drop from an A to a B like I did.

Explains things very quickly, so doing the homework is a must, but he is very nice in office hours. If you do the homework, it should be an easy A. Tests are 6-8 FRQ problems taken from the homework. Quizzes were take-home five problems from the textbook with only two randomly being graded. Would take him again.

Clearly understands the material very well but this means he kinda blows through it in class and a lot of things are explained so quickly they go right over your head. Otherwise great, with weekly take-home quizzes and no required HW

He understands calculus very well and it is evident by how fast he goes through example problems and he will often expect you to know things that aren't obvious. Only gave two tests and a final, and tests were very difficult. He is very nice and happy to help, but the class is tough and he expects student to rise to the challenge.

I took Nick (Yue) Zhao's Condensed Calculus class when he taught at Tulane in 96-97. VERY bright teacher, a slight accent (but that was 20 years ago.) One of my most memorable teachers (and not even in my major). A challenging but memorable and educational class. You need to do your homework and attend class if you want to pass!

Clearly a great professor in the sense that he is precise in what he expects you to know. He is very happy and friendly to approach and he is always willing to help. He has a great teaching philosophy: he encourages students to enjoy learning instead of scaring them. His tests were fair if you did the homework. Quizzes came from homework. 5 stars!

For Calc 3, Dr. Zhao is one of the better professors at UCF. Granted, he's not the best, but you will learn a lot from him. He has an accent, but honestly, you get used to it really quickly. I cannot stress this enough: EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT COLLECTED, DO ALL HOMEWORK. This is where the Test questions come from (maybe quizzes too). Get Dr. Zhao.

Great Calc 3 teacher, takes tests and quizzes straight from homework. Nice guy and very helpful and enjoyable to go to class. I dont know how anyone could not get an A when the answers to tests are on cramster....He also uses tons of examples that are difficult so it makes other problems seem easy

Tests and quizzes are (hard) homework problems. I went to his office hours on a regular basis, and not only was he extremely helpful at explaining my questions, but he used many of the problems I had questions on as the quiz that week.

I was worried about Calculus 2 before taking it, but Dr. Zhao made it into my favourite class. Lectures made the material very clear and he provided plenty of examples. Weekly quizzes and the four exams are easy if you do all the homework thoroughly, and if you show improvement on test scores throughout the semester, he'll give you a grade boost.

Best math professor I've ever had. Quizzes & exams are straight from the homework. He is extremely clear about the process & steps. Does a lot of examples in class and wants to make sure you understand. I had him for calc 2 & 3 and got A's in both. If you dont get a good grade its because you didnt study.
