Talebi does not do a good job at explaining concepts AT ALL. not to mention, he does not explicitly say what type of strategy we use for a certain problem. Also, whenever we go over homework, he blames us for using 30 minutes of class time; however, its him who goes through the problems unnecessarily slow. Switch pre-calc teachers if you can!!!!

Took this class last semester and I have to take it again next semester (with a different professor) because I got a C- and needed a C in order to move on. He called everyone in our class dumb because we were unable to figure out a problem. He yelled when we didn't ask questions and then yelled when we did ask questions.

This man doesn't teach you and his english is spotty. i had a hard time understanding him and he will lecture you about not doing the homework, even when you do and then blame the class as a whole for doing bad when it was his bad teaching.

Comment:

Math is a subject that is often times not taught well, specifically in U.S. schools. Unfortunately, this professor just complains about the lack of knowledge present in his students, but doesn't want to teach the students, just make them realize how little they know. Just a thought, maybe try removing the stigma from mathematics and teach us!

The tree story is hilarious. If I met him outside of class we would get a long great. However, in class I can't stand him. The material, homework, quizzes and even practice test are pretty easy. But once you go to take the exam its at least 3 times as hard. It's ridiculous. The class is hard to pass because you are unprepared for the exams.

This is a really hard class at this school, and i haven't heard of anyone having an easy time with it no matter who they had. Talebi is pretty hard, when you have question from the homework in class, he will only answer ones that he likeswants to talk about. However, i found him to be REALY helpful during office hours.

I absolutely hated this class. Went to office hours for help, and he just demeaned me the entire time, so I never went back. Tests are ridiculous. Yells at people for not asking questions, and then calls their questions cheap when they do. Do not take him if you want to do well. I only passed because I took this class in high school.

hated this class. He wasn't a mean guy, but not the nicest when some of my classmates went for help. Non-flexible with office hours, and constantly off topic. Tests are awful, and he gets enjoyment out of kids beings confused and "fooling" us. What kind of professor does that. Its like he wants us to fail. AWFUL teacher.

Go to his office hours and it will be helpful. He tells a lot of rediculus stories, but they're always amusing. Do the homework, go to class, and don't be afraid to ask him questions in class. Oh, and half the class drops it after the first test.

I hope you have an idea of the math your trying to learn before entering this class or you will not do well. DO ALL OF THE HOMEWORK AND READ YOUR BOOK, this is the only way you will learn the material in this class. This proffesor is definately one of a kind ;)

Talebi makes calculus the hardest class to pass. He doesn't teach, he simply provides examples and expects you to understand everything that way. Practice tests are hardly helpful because the tests end up being 500x harder than they were on the practice test. Definitely go see him in his office hours, and get a TUTOR!!!
