Dr. Bard is an excellent professor. He is willing to slow down and explain French in English when necessary, but is also willing to explain in French first and only reverts to English if everyone is really offput by the French he used. He loves little assignments but grades every detail, helping you really notice the little mistakes you're making,

Great teacher! I am not at all the best person for a foreign language but he made the class bearable and I quite enjoyed going to class. He is extremely nice and willing to help you with anything. His test were a little challenging but if you study you will do fine. Lots of little assignments.

Lots of assignments and lots of unclear intsructions or sometimes none at all. He sometimes asks questions in French that would require you to answer with words you haven't learned, then gives you a bad participation grade because of it. If you're just trying to get your foreign language credits done, take a different class

Very good teacher. Class was fun. I learned alot. Alot of reading and writing assignments, but graded very fairly and most are short. Dr. Bard is very nice and cares alot about the subject matter. Excellent teacher!!

This guy is obsessed with technology, and powerpoint in particular. Not my preferred way of learning. (The projector was so loud, I couldn't hear the french, let alone understand it.) Very sweet guy, though. I liked him better as a boss (at the lang. lab) than a teacher.

One of the best teachers I've had at North Central. He's always around if you need help. His lectures are VERY clear. He strongly encourages you to speak in French during the classes, which helps you to learn faster. Great sense or humor, too!
