Comment:

A really nice guy. He is super genuine in class and he treats students with respect. His sense of humor is super dry and bland, but in an endearing way. His one fault would be that he moves kind of slowly through the material and is a little "boring." However his class is easy and straightforward. A good choice

Great professor. While I was not necessarily enthralled by the Old Testament, he did manage to make it interesting. He's very kind, cares a lot about his students, and is willing to work with you if you put forth the effort. He's got great powerpoints so you can use those on the days you have to miss class.

Dr. ****ens is so amazing! He's also THE best OT professor at Asbury. I love him to death as a Bible/Theology major, and as I biblical language minor, I can't wait to take his Hebrew class next semester.

This was aa great teacher who was really helpful and has a real knowledge and love of everything in the Bible. He was hilarious in class a lot of times and it really broke up what could be a difficult class.

His vast knowledge of theology, languages and cultures would make Dr. Dickens would be a credit to any university in the world. He is an unashamed Democrat and liberal Christian in a stiflingly conservative college. I wish there were many more like him.
