Comment:

Fantastic professor who made me fall in love with history. He's hilarious although some people may take offense to some of his race targeted jokes. Has a hilarious and fantastic bill Clinton impression. Tests are extremely easy. Didn't open book once, just looked at notes taken in class which you MUST ATTEND!!

Dr. Moore is probably one of the best (if not the best) instructor I've ever had. His classes are long, but he's so passionate about the material he teaches. It makes the time go by faster. If you miss class though, you're practically screwed. I missed one class, and in that class, he went over three different lectures. 10/10 would take again.

I used to hate history until I started to take it with Moore. His tests tend to be hard unless you study. His class is almost 3 hours and I can say I am never bored. You will take a lot of notes but he will make so many jokes, you will always be entertained.

Comment:

Dr. Moore turns lectures almost into a "stand up comedy act" which makes material easy to remember. Don't skip this class! Tests are hard (blue book) and there's a lot of reading; but I would definitely take this class again! He is hilarious and has been the best professor I've had at UWF.

Comment:

A lot of reading and pretty hard tests but this was the best class that I had at UWF. Dr. Moore really knows his topics and brings the history alive and his teaching. I only discovered him In my senior year and wished I had taken all of his classes. The others in the History Department are great, but he is the best in the University.

Comment:

Undoubtedly the most important class of my entire academic career. Gave me the foundation for everything I have done as a professional. Some may not grasp the value, but that is their loss and probably don’t belong in the field as it is. There is a reason why he is the president of the NCPH. The best there is. Period. Thanks Dr. Moore.

Entertaining professor. A lot of fluff is taught. Last rater hit it with the popularity comment. Not going to learn the detail like taking classes from other profs. Expect everything he says and does to be promoting himself. As long as that is understood, you will enjoy his classes.

Comment:

Always seems like he's trying to win a popularity contest instead of teaching History. His choice of a text book "Homeward Bound" by Elaine May is one of the worst most scatterbrained book ever written, It belongs in a social history class or feminist history class not main stream. Can read Niall Ferguson books and get more history than this guy.

I absolutely love Dr. Moore! His class is so interesting and fun to go to! He has made me love history from the way he lectures and tells stories. I am not gonna lie, his tests are hard and so is his grading, but there is no way to fail if you take notes and come to class!

My favorite professor so far! Never went out of his class without smiling or laughing because of the way he teaches history. He makes history very alive! If you have a chance, make sure you pick him as top choice as your professor in that subject!

The best professor I ever had. Get him if you can. Granted If you aren't fond of foul language you may not like him. but he brings history alive. He has a tendency of snapping at you if he sees you out with your phone or if you come late on the wrong lecture.

If you want an easy class, stay away, but If you like an interesting class, definitely take it! Dr. Moore makes history come alive, but you must do the reading and be prepared for class participation to get the most out of it. Tests require you pay close attention to the lectures; study guides are helpful.

When it comes to class and lectures I LOVED it and I'm not big on history. As for grades, there are only 3 tests, 1 quiz, and 1 paper. However, the amount of studying required for these is enormous! If you want a fantastic professor and don't mind the extra studying I would definitely recommend this class.

Most exciting teacher! Take notes and you will pass. I recorded his lectures (because he talked so fast) and would listen to them when filling out the study guide (very helpful). Do use the study guide. He is a very funny professor and I enjoyed his class. I didn't like history at first but he makes it interesting and appealing. Take his class!

GO TO CLASS AND YOU WILL PASS. Take notes, I recommend bringing your laptop to keep track because he talks so fast. One paper and one quiz on 2 books, you pick which book you wanna take the paper on and which the quiz. 3 tests which consist of an essay [2 topics, you pick 1] and 7 terms that you pick 4 to answer. Wish I could take him again!
