He cares for all of his students and will do everything he can to be helpful. He has an infectious love of biology and learning in general. While sometimes he makes mistakes grading/designing assignments, he will be happy to fix things if you go talk to him. If you see his name on a class, take it!

I took 4200 global change this past winter, and it was a great course. He gives good feedback, and makes the course easy to do. DO all the assignments, and put time into your work. You will pass.

I took this class in the summer to satisfy some elective credits. I've taken Dr. Narguizian in the past, & can honestly say he is very passionate about teaching & actually cares about his students. I can admit the coursework was a bit heavy, but the course is only 5 weeks. Put in the work & you'll definitely pass with an A.

Weekly online 5 question quizzes, online mindterm 50 questions & final less than 70 question. Quizzes are based of reading which are not long most under 10 pages. He really does care about his students and his lectures are interesting would definitely recommend he also cracks jokes every now & the overall great professor (no textbook needed)

THE BEST BIOLOGY PROFESSOR EVER. I use to fall asleep in biology in high school but taking this class with prof Paul was very interesting. I had him for only 50 minutes twice a week and I wish the class would last longer than that. he cares so much about all the students and he lets you know it. he teaches bio in one of the most interesting ways.

Really great person/professor! A lot of in-class activities for extra credit, he tells you exactly what will be on the test, and he is a fun lecturer. You won't get bored! Also he curves the exams!

so far the best bio professor at CSULA!! you can tell he is passionate about teaching and does his best to make the material easy and understandable for exam. LOTS of in class participation. curves exams. study of slides and books "hw" questions & you'll do good on exams. will retake!! Easy A when u work for it

Dr. Narguizian is the best. We had 3 midterms and a final which were fair. Homework and quizzes online were also very fair and not too much maybe 5-8 questions each just to understand topics before you get to class. We had in class activities in leu of iclicker. Theres a study guide and he tells you what to focus on during lecture. Reasonable A

Great professor! He really cares about his students doing well and he's not boring at all. Easy class, you just have to keep up with emails and Moodle. Face to face meetings are very helpful in understanding the material thoroughly and professor brings up relevant issues that affect us daily and in the long run. I highly suggest taking this class

NEVER, not once has he ever responded to any of my emails. It's so frustrating when students need their questions answered but he won't answer them. What's the point of giving out your email if you're never going to reply to them.

Dr. Narguizian is one of the best professor's I've ever had a CSULA. He cares about what he teaches, and cares even more for the success of every student in his class. He has a way of explaining that makes you actually WANT to go to class. A lot of professor's can take a page out of his book, highly recommend him!

Dr. Narguizian was awesome. He truly loves his job & has such a passion for biology. I learned a lot in his class. 3 midterms. No textbook. Test are supposed to be based on PowerPoints & lecture, but they're not. He gives out sample questions & puts those exact questions in the tests (worded exactly the same). Study the questions & you'll be fine!

Comment:

Very nice guy! Not intimidating at all. Even willing to write letters of recommendation. The online textbook has a bunch of useful/essential information for when one teaches biology to kids. However, for his tests it's better if you go over the study guide he gives and find the answers online. 3 tests + readings. Lab was easy (with Beltz)!
