Comment:

He is one of my favourite professors! He is very knowledgeable and every conversation with him is very interesting! He does talk for the majority of class, but I found the topics engaging so I didnt mind it (I understand how some may dislike long lectures though). He is a very caring prof and will help you out if youre stuck, so thats a bonus!

Comment:

Took this course as a Q credit with ease. I finished with a high grade but I wasn't fond of the fact that the reading assignments were only assigned a few days before the next class - rather than having a full week to read them. He also talks for the FULL duration of the class & doesn't point out which material is more important than the rest.

Comment:

Paul is an amazing prof; very funny, very personable. Took the course as a req for the policy studies major. 3 Tests/Quizzes, all open book/open notes. Finals is take home. He provides weekly reading lists a few days before the lecture, read all the articles as it will better arm you for class discussions. Over all I would highly recommend!

Paul is a great teacher. He is one of the smartest person I have ever met. He knows so much about everything. Ask him a random question and he will know about it in detail. He will bend the rules to help you out. His test are all open book but the Q questions can be difficult.

Comment:

Paul is one of the most interesting profs I've had. I took the course as a Q requirement, and enjoyed it A LOT. His lectures are always relevant and quizzes and final exam are open notes and open book. It's important to attend and pay attention in class because he will ask questions on the quizzes that are NOT from the book. Loved him!

The marking structure is random at best. Going to class was pointless; books are almost worthless. Studied for the final exam off the internet. Paul is extremely knowledgeable but he goes on tangents way too much; he needs to figure out what he's teaching each class before he teaches it.

Paul has a lot of knowledge and a high level of education. However he should not be teaching at even the lowest level of education. The most poorly organized teacher, who NEVER stayed on topic. The tests DID NOT reflect the material covered in class. I had high expectations for this class, do not take ENVI 1121 unless it is mandetory for you.

Paul was a great teacher for EPT. Although the direction of the classes were not always that planned, any info that he will test you on is covered quite well. Paul does so much for the whole EPT program,you can always come to him for any questions regarding any classes, even if he doesnt teach them. This guy knows everything about the Envimt

Disorganized, "wings it" in class, doesn't stay on topic, tests don't relate well to what was "taught" in clas. Lazy with administrative duties - takes forever to get things done. I don't know how he managed to become head of EPT department.

It is unbelievable how much this guy knows. He really is one of Kwantlen's best. His lectures consisted of current information. I loved that the texts for the course were novels.
