Makes micro super easy to understand. Great teacher. However for exams, questions can be convoluted. Not straightforward at all. Might know the material, but the questions are phrased differently. Make sure to study EVERYTHING he teaches before each midterm. He gives extra problems before an exam but don't mistake these for a study guide.

Really great professor as long as you actually show up and pay attention. Really strict about no phones/computers out during class but it actually helps to focus in my opinion. He gives you all the materials you need to pass his test (ie in-class problems you solve together & practice tests you can do before the midterms/final).

He's a great professor overall and teaches well. Don't get the textbook. It wasn't needed. His exams are from the lectures. He provides some extra credit. There is no homework. There are 3 midterms and a final. The final is non cumulative.

I would avoid this professor if I could. He's a good professor and you do learn but he is a tough grader. You really have to work for your grade and there are easier professors to take for 320.

Fleissig was one of the best professors I've taken throughout my college career. He explains concepts very well and you can see the effort he's put in to developing his style of teaching this course. This classes breakdown is 95% test and 5% for free, and all of his tests are short answer problems that force you to critically think and solve.

Fleissig doesn't put his lectures online, so attendance is required if you want to pass. The lectures themselves are dry, but topics are explained well and are usually covered multiple times over several class periods if the material is particularly tough. 5 non-cumulative exams, no homework. Do his practice tests to do well on exams.

It was a very tough class, so you must attend every lecture! His notes cover everything you'll need to know for the exam. Although exams are hard as long as you know some of the material and write complete sentences it should be enough to get a C. His study guides and in class examples are what you'll need to study. Exams are free response. GLHF

Professor Fleissig is very clear and thorough when it comes to explaining all the concepts in macro, but his exams are not reflective of what we are taught in class. His class is really tough and I would recommend reading the book even though it's not mandatory. I would not recommend taking 320 with him.

Excellent econ prof with an eccentric yet great since of humor. His lectures are incredibly thorough and have taught me a lot. Tests are difficult but his notes are more than sufficient so no book needed. Review the notes and class packets well and you should be prepared. Class consists of 3 tests so if you're a weak tester then re-consider.

Professor Fleissig is a great instructor and very funny! His test average is a B which was my grade. If you dont study and dont go to class the tests seem difficult but they are not. A lot of his test questions come straight from his class problems and extra problems. His standard is way higher than most classes I have taken.

HARD CLASS.... His tests are ridiculously difficult. He will add little tweaks from classwork/problems that sound easy but totally throw you off and you are left choiceless in the exam... Great teacher and explainer though... Would not recommend as there are easier teachers, whilst you are still learning the same work.

Very VERY hard exams.... great teacher though. I don't know why, but his exams are nothing like what he tells you to study for. I dont know why he does this, as it undermines him as a teacher... Very difficult class.

I took professor Fleissig in summer 2018 and it was the best Econ class I've ever taken. He didn't use powerpoints; instead he wrote everything on the board. Make sure to copy down what he wrote because it was really useful for the tests. Textbook was optional. There were 5 tests and he dropped the lowest one. Highly recommended.

Prof. Fleissing is definitely knowledgeable in economics. He taught it well and was easy to understand. 5 tests and he drops the lowest (not the final though). I took him for summer and towards the end he kinda rushed and gave us 4 tests in two weeks. His tests are similar to his notes, but he throws curve balls in there that are hard to figure out

tbh if econ is not your passion, i suggest not to take him, he is a great professor though. Lectures notes were easy to follow through but when it comes to exams omg it was a whole different story because it was short answers and more complicated compare to his class problem and notes.

I took his class over the Summer. The subject seemed easy as he went over the basic concepts on each chapter, but his exam problems are much more complicated application, and he barely prepares you for them. Forget practice problems--they're nothing like the test. Read and do all the problems in the textbook even the ones that he did not cover.

Dry lectures, but very informational. Easy to understand. The key to passing this class is writing everything that he writes on the board. Make sure to always review notes because it really helps in exams. :) You can't pass without going to class, you must attend! Grades are all based on exams. 1 extra credit.

I'm glad I took this course with Fleissig. He doesn't use PowerPoints, so it is easy to follow along with him as he is lecturing. He fully prepares you for his exams, but it is up to you to review your notes and be prepared. He asks for your feedback in the middle of the semester to make adjustments to the class where needed. Take him!

He is a good professor, his lectures are easy to follow and he is entertaining. However, his test are a little bit different to what he goes over in class and there is only 5 or 6 questions, so if you get one wrong you are done!! Because is 30 points. Anyways aside from that if Econ is your major I would recommend to take his class.
