Such a good professor!! You have to read the textbook, but he gives plenty of time to do so. Really approachable, understanding and reasonable. He knows and loves what he is talking about and I found the class interesting. Recommend him for sure!

Easiest teacher I've ever had. If you take Politics and technology you talk about NASA the entire time and the quizzes are a breeze if you listen. Became interesting to listen to him ramble after awhile. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone needing pols210 or pols250

I always hated politics. Dreaded it. With Dr. Hamm it was surprisingly interesting and easy. Skimming through the chapters and highlighting had me passing the quizzes easily, and listening to him in class made me interested. I would definately recommend having him for a class if you want to succeed and learn.

Even though he was interesting to listen to-he talked for an hour and a half strait. He is monotone and hard to follow. I would not recommend him-but he wasn't horrible.

He was the best teacher that I have ever had in this area. The chapter quizes are simple if you read the book. His tests are simple if you read the book and pay attention to his lecture. He is a very smart man in this subject. I would take him as a professor again. My advice to you is TAKE PEDER HAMM FOR POLS 210!

He's a great teacher. He keeps the class interesting and we look at current events. His grading is more than fair, and if you study you will do well. The material he uses is also very good. It was written by both a liberal and a conservative, and helps to eliminate the sort of bias that could easily appear in a class like this. Highly Recommended

BEST...teacher ever...the class is difficult; but if you attend and don't fall asleep in class, you'll do well. (He'll kick out if you do unless you have a medical reason.) His tests (mc,tf) cover half the book and half the lecture and many films he shows. Ask questions when he lets out early. Express interest and you'll do quite well. No papers.
