You can be good at your subject. But if you can't teach, you just can't teach. Very hard to understand and makes mistakes often. Tests aren't too hard but a lot of self studying is required.

horrible professor. stopped going to class 3 weeks into the semester since it was a waste of time. had to teach myself. quizzes doesn't teach anything. didn't collect hw so you didn't know if u were learning the material correctly. only saving grace is that he curves only if the majority of his class is failing, which in most cases, the majority is

This guy is horrendous. I never write comments on professors, but seriously do not enroll in his classes! He was unfair, boring, and seemed not to know any of the material. His quizzes are not at all indicative of the test and He DOES NOT CURVE! -Awful!

Don't do this to yourself. I say hard for easiness based on the fact that I'm used to relying on my professor--the person whom I paid--to teach me, not myself. Both Wolfe and his TA, Quah, seemed too involved in their own worlds to care about the students. They may be spectacular mathematicians, but they lack the ability(or want) to pass it on.

Worse teacher ever! His homework grading is unfair, and he does a lot of mistakes while grading (he just check your answer if it is wrongm you loose all your points, even thoug you have some small miscalculation). After regrading he still can miss something. Ofice hours useless, HE DOES NOT EXPLAIN ANYTHING! DO NOT TAKE HIM!

If you want to ruin your GPA take this professor. You have to read and explain everything to your-self by using books. His lectures useless... he makes simple things appear more difficult. Only 30% of students attend his class. If homeworks is from the book - you are lucky. If he made up some problem - nobody knows the solution. I wasted MY money..

2 weeks into it i realized i didnt have to go to lecture because its straight from the book and the book does a better job explaining. if youre not a textbook person dont take the class. If you want a good teacher, do not choose wolfe.

I would have failed calc1 if not for the fact I took it in highschool prior. It made sense to me because I already knew the material. To someone new he would hardly seem coherent. He's a decent enough person, but unfortunately that doesn't mean he's a good teacher.

the lectures seemed to copy the book verbatim which isnt necessarily a good thing. one would expect that the text complements what the professor says not the other way around. he rarely expanded on topics in the book, not good. deceptively hard exams and sometimes "uptight" grading by the TAs
