Pretty decent prof. However his weekly quiz questions can be very random and make you unsure what he wants. Final is the same way as some of the questions are super out there.

The course itself is not difficult, but his quiz questions are extremely arbitrary so you have to pay attention to things he emphasizes in class. BSC assignment is long and unclear, start as early as possible.

-Attend all lectures as discussion notes are tested (ex: class powerpoint notes may be barebones). -Do the practice final before the final exam. -Start on the BSC assignment early and ask questions. It's a tough assignment. -Don't worry about this class if you didn't do well in 323/361. It's less calculation heavy.

465 was honestly a disappointment. Quizzes every week based on assigned reading however, the questions he asks are very subjective and based on what he says in class rather than on the actual reading. I actually did quite well on the quizzes and I still think questions are unfair. Ridiculous grading scheme, BSC assignment had minimal instruction.

Phil is alright, just this class is a bore. Not a hard class, just do the readings. However its hard to do super well since the questions for the quizzes are pretty vague, but I think he marks fairly. Group project isn't great, but none of them are. Go when you need to and make sure you have friends that can get the notes when you're not there.

The course is not hard and Philip grades very fair. He's available outside of class and is very helpful if you require assistance with anything. You would actually have to TRY to do bad in this course.

While this class is not inherently difficult, in fact, it may one of the easier accounting classes you will take , based on the material covered. It still proved to be somewhat of a challenge to do well (A- , A) ,due to the vagueness in the questions on the (almost daily ) quizzes combined with a high grading scale. But Phil is nice and helping.

Philip is a good prof, but the course itself is not fun. Weekly quizzes on readings are open book, but the questions are EXTREMELY random based off the assigned case, and usually Philip will only spend a brief moment explaining it before the quiz, so make sure you pay attention!!! Group project was very vague but fair marking. Overall, good prof.

Ridiculous grade scale. Quizzes are a shot in the dark, you must be physic to know what he's asking for. Assignments and questions are beyond vague.

Phil is a good prof and a great guy but his lectures can be very long and boring. I got to the point where I couldn't pay attention no matter how hard I tried. The textbook is a must as he is not able to cover all concepts in depth during the lectures.

Philip is good instructor, but I don't like the way he teaches. Class is useless. you should depend on your own 100% because you get nothing from class. Reading the book is a must. Quizzes are Ok. Midterm is fair. He explains the simplest examples in class and keeps the hard ones for the exams. I highly don't recommend his class.

Average prof but I thought his lectures were incredibly boring maybe it's just accounting but I didn't really learn much from his lectures. Quizzes are fairly easy but if you get behind in this class it's hard to catch up so make sure you're paying attention and reading your stuff.

Prof was useless in class. You will get absolutely nothing from his lectures unless you're an accounting all-star. With that said, THIS COURSE IS STILL PLAUSIBLE. Though he isn't the best prof, his powerpoints are pretty good and outline material well. BUT READ THE TEXTBOOK CAREFULLY as it is testable for things he did not go over in depth.

Great guy, pretty boring lectures. The textbook wasn't used very much; the posted Self-tests on Blackboard were sufficient however. The midterm and Final were fair. Have to lots of practice questions in order to do well

The material in the beginning is not that bad, it does get harder throughout the semester though. Quizzes are really easy if you just do the practice questions on the self-tests(Some of them are exactly the same). Phillips lectures are quite boring, however, his slides are good for studying and he is a really easy Prof to approach.

Really boring lectures. The midterm was easy (72 as a class avg?) but yesterday's final was a pain. Quizzes are not too difficult. Its recommended you just skip the lectures and study his slides, textbook pages, and do the suggested questions from the textbook and self-tests online.....do that and you'll be good.

You will get absolutely nothing from attending his class. The quizzes are nothing like anything on the textbook. He only teaches his own part of the textbook. He is, however, quite friendly.

A wonderful teacher. Prof Bealieu is clear and organized, and extremely helpful. This is what is needed in a mandatory Graduate Accounting course. You are clear on what he expects and the information is presented so very lucidly. You will benefit most if you are well prepared for class (do the readings).
