I had the honor to have "Doc Polly" as my professor for several classes and after graduating, I was lucky to work as her assistant. This woman was more than a teacher. She was an inspiration, a generous, caring , highly intelligent, funny and incredible person. SFCC will never be the same since her passing.

Not a good class. Very confusing on what needs to be done, she uploaded many assignments to Canvas, but didn't specify which were required. Met once a week, and lectures were never helpful. I thought this class would give me tips and tricks on how to be a better college student, but I walked away not having learned anything. Would not take again.

Such a kind understanding professor. She truly cares about her students and is interested in what you plan to do with your careers. She will take the time to make sure your home life is okay and will give those who need help options. She goes above and beyond to reach out to students. She is a highly recommended professor!

I'm a 40 year old who was petrified of going back to college. She welcomed me, and made me feel wonderful about the idea. She helped me out in so many ways, you wouldn't believe it. If you have a social work course, I recommend her for any class she teaches. The best of the best don't match up.

Doc Polly, Is the only reason that the graduation rate at SFCC isn't even lower than it is! She puts out extra effort to make a unuser friendly system easier to navigate but you must take the time to go in and have her and or assistant make sure you are on track. Besides that just standing in the same room with her you can feel the love.

I have had Polly for several classes. I believe any person recieving a bad grade in this class did it intentionally. She is understanding caring and always has opportuniyies to do extra credit. I enjoy her classes and have done some volunteer work off campus with her. I am happy I had her in my first quarter she makes school a pleasure. THANKS

Polly seemed up for anything in her class. She teaches more by example than the dried book reading methods. She is the only teacher I have danced with in the front of the class while completing an assignment. She helped me want to be back in school after a 17 year break. I loved her class.
