Good professor. BUT the class requires a LOT of TIME. You have to attend every lecture or you will be lost in the material. He says that you have to spend AT LEAST 10 HOURS outside the class lectures weekly (what is true if you want to get a good grade). Doable, interesting but very time-consuming, and challenging.

he is teaching at the university of maryland right now. he is the hardest professor alive. he will make fun of you if you go to him for help. 'were you sleeping in class?' NO CURVE! unless you want acct to be your life for a semester, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ... unless you have to. best of luck.

If you go to his office hrs he'll answer any questions you have but IT IS HARD!! I read, took notes, went to every class, but I didn't do the hw - YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE HW TO DO WELL!! Do NOT just read - do practice probs - the math is not hard but the language and the concepts are if you don't practice throughout. NOTE: probs = 1/2 your grade!

Best teacher I have had at UGA. Is very difficult, but if you attend class and prepare everything assigned, you will understand the material. Hard class, but got a lot out of it.

This was the most difficult class I've ever taken mostly because the in-class quizzes are insane in the membrane. Basu really is a good professor despite the fact that he is "paid to be hated by students." I really learned a lot but it feels good to be done. This was his last semester at UGA. So good luck to him and anyone who takes him elsewhere.

I have never worked so hard for one class in my entire life. You have one in class quiz every friday and one online quiz every monday. The tests are tricky along with all of the quizzes. I had to get a tutor. The conceptual questions were the hardest part for me. Basu is a nice guy, but his tests and quizzes are ridiculous.

He presents the material clearly and always willing to help but you have to keep up on readings and the material. I'd also suggest getting out of class tutoring either through on campus options or ****. Just try to stay above the class averages because at the end of the semester he curves.

The class is tough so you will have to be willing to work hard. The in-class quizzes can be tough, but they will help for the tests. It is important to read the chapters well and more than once so you will do well on the web quizzes. Plus, the conceptual questions can be tricky. The class is hard but Basu is a great professor.

Dr. Basu's accounting class is tough. Lecture is somewhat helpful, but most of the time you have to teach yourself how to do the problems. Tests and quizzes are worded tricky to make you solve for wrong answers (sometimes you spend more time trying to figure out what the question is asking instead of doing the problem itself).
